When the sound of them has gone silent

Tinker Town: "The die is cast, the moment of truth is approaching. Everyone in the American government, { media, special interest, Supreme Court } has spoken in no uncertain terms about how they feel about President Obama's vision of our country's future. The news media is going day after day, night after night, running their radio, television, newspaper, in the same old, same old way.

Blank: "The cocktail party's are still sending out inventions to the same invited guess. The in crowd. Link to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upwrq1QZKV8&feature=related - Is of course, humming along making the Washington DC noise that the American people are so very familiar with.

Tinker Town: "Tell Ben
Bernanke, the American economist chairman of the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States. To print up a couple of
more trillion dollars . Make all of the citizens in the United State a millionaire. So we can all pay higher taxes. This is just great, Its a wonderful life."

GoldRing: "For me, the sound of them has gone silent. I'm turned off to what they want.
Hello Tuesday November 6, 2012."

About Little America

When President Barack Obama ordered the surge of troops and aid to Afghanistan, Washington Post correspondent Rajiv Chandrasekaran followed. He found the effort sabotaged not only by Afghan and Pakistani malfeasance but by infighting and incompetence within the American government: a war cabinet arrested by vicious bickering among top national security aides; diplomats and aid workers who failed to deliver on their grand promises; generals who dispatched troops to the wrong places; and headstrong military leaders who sought a far more expansive campaign than the White House wanted. Through their bungling and quarreling, they wound up squandering the first year of the surge. more...http://rajivc.com/

Swarbrick: Notre Dame near new TV deal

June, 27, 2012

With a new postseason on the way — and with Notre Dame's place in it secure — it is onto other matters for Jack Swarbrick.

For the Irish athletic director, that means a new television deal, a decision that could be coming within the next 30 days.

I hope its less than half what they get now. So they decide to join a conference I say add ND & BYU to the BIG 12

ND you could be making so much more money in the Pac 12 or Big 10, or even in the ACC if you really wanted to go. Not to mention the potential to get anywhere form 1-3 games more than currently shown nationally also. The independent thing has clearly not worked this last decade, and you're holding your program back from a significant increase in revenue, near or potentially more exposure, and a more manageable path to the NC game unlike what this independent stint has been doing for the last 2 d...more

The bowls (keeping all the $) are the only thing they are currently benefiting more from on the financial side of things. Their new contract will get them 20-25 mil. at absolute most (im being optimistic, probably too much so), and their third party broadcast networks are not and will not make them nearly as much as the future Pac-12 network or current Big 10 network would get them. The financial stance of ND staying independent is nonsensical, especially when the would be getting very near the ...more

Why would I want ND to have a more manageable path to the big game, as you have put it? I want to be happy and proud of the irish when we win a national championship. I want to know that we defeated every challenge in our way. The last thing on earth I want to feel is like we didn't deserve it, by playing a cupcake non-conference schedule and beating up on some of the less than stellar competition at the lower rungs of the Pac 12, Big 10 or Big 12. You should be ashamed of yourself as a fan ...more

independence is important to ND. More money in the short run is not the main concern as it has a huge endowment. It would rather lose a few mil in the short run rather than marginalize the brand by joining a conf, especially one in the same region geographically. ND makes its own schedule coast to coast and SOS is going to be a key component of the selection process. Why do they "need" to join a conference when conf champs are not getting automatic ins? They need to play better to keep the ...more

The lives and music of Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart. Two top great music composers. One of the movie musical seen is a stage song number. Link to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn5T7bW6E7w&feature=related

( Words and Music ( 1948 ) - Mountain Greenery )
Perry Como sings the lead in a stage musical number...Don't' that just tear it? Ha ha ha. Oh God, I did get a kick out of them then.
When is the last time that you saw a musical?
How about this simple song written by
Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart." Link to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz-iGm2GJBM

GoldRing: "A Movie back then or now, was a nice refuge from the every day real life, in our very real world. The neighborhood movie shows
helped us to forget the failure of the people that we elected to run our government.  That these men told us that they would make the government work better. But Instead, we the people received two world Wars, and in between those monsters events. The American people saw our American soldiers lost their life in places called Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and we are still fighting."

Tinker Town: "Instead of peace. We received deep government dept, and Wars. We also keep getting spun by a news media/political power syndicate. Instead of the advertised government for the people and by the people. That these self serving government hogs have been trying to steal the great's city's money for themselves for a long time.

Blank: "the great city's money. Not the "great's" city's money, Tinker Town".
That the power syndicate who are called governments, are all across the world steady trying to turn our global way of life into their criminal insanity. What is our American government leaders calling it. The America Free Trade policy, better known as the ( Losing manufacturing job to China policy ). With the power syndicate pulling the strings. Don't ya just love it!?
Now it looks like that President Obama & Hillary Clinton governing ability is again failing all over the world. The remake of the Obama hope and change big talk, is now a total flop. Their Russia reset policy, has made no sense. From scatted liberal ideas with no purpose, other then some kind of made up beliefs from their own fancy. That the Obama/Hillary policy really can't get no satisfaction. Link to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx0bLBk-BNM
Sadly we just keep getting more dumb bull talk. So what are our children going to look at going into our country's future. Another world war. Can we change the direction of our government policies before that terrible future turns real?"
GoldRing: "Does our generation have the moral framework to make good decisions?"
GoleRing: "What is a moral framework Tinker Town?"
Tinker Town: "Well Lets Google It"

Moral issues greet us each morning in the newspaper, confront us in the memos on our desks, nag us from our children's soccer fields, and bid us good night on the evening news. We are bombarded daily with questions about the justice of our foreign policy, the morality of medical technologies that can prolong our lives, the rights of the homeless, the fairness of our children's teachers to the diverse students in their classrooms.more...http://www.scu.edu/ethics/publications/iie/v7n1/thinking.html
