People living up to standard, through honest merit instead

Tinker:

People acting out the way that they are programed to believe and behave by generation of manipulation because of the powerful people who want them in servitude, to keep getting the same self serving results to the benefit of their business interest. Controlling people.

From the early history of the United States enslaving of the African people from Africa to work for free. Building a very wealthy industry out of the slavery trade in America.

Over that period of time the African people were conditioned to work in servitude to their slave masters from cradle to grave. The white slave task masters worked very hard day and night to keep that tight grip on the people working for free in the United States of America.

Now in 2013 the Democratic black American task master is still keeping massive amount of black Americans people living in servitude to the United States government. Just like before when the southern slave masters controlled African people to become conditioned to live in servitude.

If a black American starts thinking independently for himself, they are immediately ridiculed to get back into the crowd of black Americans people voting democratic. So the United States government can better distribute the wealth of the country. Giving the people running Washington DC more political power and the millions of black Americans people who play along will receive well fare, food stamps, medical care, on the government tab. Keeping the black American people in slavery never the less, just like before.

Just look at what happened to Detroit Michigan, millions of people trapped in poverty because of the democratic party political policy's.
Using other people for their own self serving interest, and never really trying to fix the real problem to help educate all of the people to be independent and make up their own minds, through their own reasoning power. With their own free will choosing to live the way they want to.

The race merchants don't want us to get along at all, they simply want to keep aggravating the once upon a time in America story. About the black Americans people who was held in slavery within the selfish grip of the white man power structure, in early America. For the profit that they received from free labor, worked people like animals, treated them inhumanly, cruelly, and worse.

All of mankind is condition to a certain degree behaving in a predicable way because of our natural needs that we live by. We get thirsty, hungry,  etc. So it is not really a big surprise that black American are influence to do and think the way they have been doing now for a very long time living in America.

It is not the color of a persons skin that is preventing them from breaking the bonds of servitude caught in poverty. No it is a lack of education that is holding them back. Too many bad parents and tons of bad information, and reams and reams of too much bull talk. Learning the values that enrich the soul of mankind requires us to study what we read about,

When we bull talk people building them a land with no standards, who don't know any better. Just to appease them, trying to help their self esteem in a pretending way, instead through honest merit, that is the sinful behavior of people using other people. All along knowing better. Leading other people into a condition of predictable behavior, keeping people dumb down to be used my the better off other people for their own self serving interest, and their own selfish desires.

The ivy league aristocracy have been running the seats of power in America for a long time now, their blue blood cocktail parties are nothing more then a self serving french palace of Versailles, in America. We are not in their club, because the proof is in the pudding what we see and hear is our reality living in America today.

But neither political party really want to get into all of that because that would be dealing with the problem too closely, and perhaps with a little helping hand from the people themselves just might fix what is not working instead.

No they won't be getting into the truth too deeply at all, and again they can't do that because after all that would stop the political ripoff baby.

UNSUNG BLACK PEOPLE

July 24, 2013

It must be hard for young black males to always be viewed as criminals by people who notice crime statistics. We've jawboned that sad story for 40 years. Last week, President Obama ran it around the block again in another speech about himself in reaction to the George Zimmerman verdict.

Let's give that beloved chestnut a rest for a day and consider another way blacks have it harder than whites. Only black people are expected to never speak against their community. Might we spend five minutes admiring the courage of blacks who step forward and tell the truth to cops, juries and reporters in the middle of our periodic racial Armageddons? This one is never discussed at all.

In December 1984, Bernie Goetz shot four black men who were trying to mug him on the New York City subway. (About a year later, one youth admitted that, yes, in fact, they "were goin' to rob him." They thought he looked like "easy bait.")

A few days after the shooting, The New York Times got the racism ball rolling with its "beneath the surface" reporting technique: "Just beneath the surface of last week's debate was the question of whether the shooting may have been racially motivated."

Hoping for support for its below-the-surface thesis, the Times visited the mother of Darrell Cabey, the young man paralyzed from the shooting. As the Times summarized the feeling at the Claremont housing project where Cabey lived, "many people said the four teen-agers were troublemakers and probably got what they deserved."

Cabey's mother had received one letter that said: "[Y]ou get no sympathy from us peace-loving, law-abiding blacks. We will even contribute to support the guy who taught you a lesson, every way we can ... P.S. I hope your wheelchair has a flat tire."

The Washington Post also interviewed Cabey's neighbors. Eighteen-year-old Yvette Green said: "If I'd had a gun, I would have shot him." Darryl Singleton, 24 years old, called Cabey, "a sweet person," but added, "if I had a gun, I would have shot the guy." Read More »

Rush Limbaugh Tells Greta Van Susteren Why Obama Actually ‘Likes’ His ‘Phony Scandals’

by Matt Wilstein | 3:06 pm, July 30th, 2013 VIDEO » 53 comments

Rush Limbaugh is sitting down for a rare, hour-long interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox’s On The Record tonight and in this preview clip the radio host explains his theory on why President Obama actually “likes” the “phony scandals” he recently decried.

According to Limbaugh, the scandals Obama referred to in his recent speech “aren’t distractions–they’re real.” In reality, Limbaugh believes the president “likes” the scandals “because they detract from the absolute reality of what has happened to this country as a result of his policies.”

Also in the preview clip, Limbaugh shares his theory on how Obama has “positioned himself as an outsider.” That explains the “constant campaigning,” Limbaugh said, “so he doesn’t appear to be governing, so he doesn’t appear to be part of Washington.” He characterized the president’s Republican opposition on issues like job creation and health care reform as nothing more than a “mysterious, powerful bunch of forces” that may or may not exist.

Limbaugh’s Fox News appearance just happens to come very close to the deadline for the Cumulus Media negotiations that could determine which radio stations continue to broadcast his daily program.

NSA Commits 'Troubling' Surveillance Violations, Senators Say

NSA surveillance
WASHINGTON -- The National Security Agency's massive collection of all Americans' phone records breaks laws without making the country safer, two members of the Senate Intelligence Committee argued Tuesday night, saying the practices must be reformed.

Taking to the Senate floor, Sens. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) called on the White House to act on its own to rein in the programs. The senators criticized the administration's intelligence leaders for "misleading" the public on the controversial NSA programs and accused the administration of breaking the law.

The outlines of the surveillance programs had been disclosed before, but NSA leaker Edward Snowden revealed their stunning sweep when he released reams of material earlier this year. The documents Snowden disclosed highlight the Patriot Act's Section 215 that allows the government to collect phone records and Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that allows government cyber-spying on overseas targets.

Wyden said he knew of at least one violation of the Constitution's Fourth Amendment under the 702 program. He said that based on a letter from NSA head Gen. Keith Alexander, the government committed several violations of the Patriot Act in gathering phone records.

"I'm not allowed to discuss the classified nature of that, but I want to make sure that those who are following this debate know that from my vantage point, reading those documents that are classified, these violations are more serious than have been stated by the intelligence community, and mind you, are very troubling," Wyden said.

Paul: Christie is the 'king of bacon' on government spending

killough.mugshot.4

(CNN) – The feuding between Republicans Chris Christie and Rand Paul continued Tuesday as the senator from Kentucky cautioned the governor from New Jersey was picking a fight with the wrong guy.

In an interview on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer," Paul defended himself against Christie's most recent allegations that the senator was bringing home too much money for his state.

"This is the king of bacon talking about bacon," Paul said about Christie. Both are considered potential 2016 contenders for the Republican presidential nomination.

Earlier in the day, the outspoken governor chastised Kentucky for taking more federal money than New Jersey, saying the Blue Grass state gets back $1.51 on every dollar it sends to Washington, while the Garden State receives 61 cents.

"So if Senator Paul wants to start looking at where he's going to cut spending to afford defense, maybe he should start cutting the pork barrel spending that he brings home to Kentucky," Christie told reporters Tuesday in Little Ferry.

Paul pointed to Kentucky's two military bases as reasons why the state may get more money from the government.

"What does he want to do, shut down military bases in Kentucky?" he said.

Blow to Bloomberg: Appeals Court Rules NYC’s Big Sugary Drink Ban Unconstitutional

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City’s crackdown on big, sugary sodas is staying on ice.

An appeals court ruled Tuesday that the city’s Board of Health exceeded its legal authority and acted unconstitutionally when it tried to put a size limit on soft drinks served in city restaurants.

In a unanimous opinion, the four-judge panel of the state Supreme Court Appellate Division said that the health board was acting too much like a legislature when it created the limit, which would have stopped sales of non-diet soda and other sugar-laden beverages in containers bigger than 16 ounces.

The judges wrote that while the board had the power to ban “inherently harmful” foodstuffs from being served to the public, sweetened beverages didn’t fall into that category. They also said the board appeared to have crafted much of the new rules based on political or economic considerations, rather than health concerns.

The city’s law department promised a quick appeal.

Alwaleed warns of US shale danger to Saudi

By Ajay Makan in London and Abeer Allam in Abu Dhabi
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the billionaire Saudi Arabian investor, has warned that his country’s oil-dependent economy is increasingly vulnerable to competition from the US shale revolution, setting him at odds with his country’s oil ministry and Opec officials.

In an open letter addressed to Ali Naimi, the Saudi oil minister, the prince called on the government to accelerate plans to diversify the economy.

“Our country is facing continuous threat because of its almost total dependency on oil,” he wrote in the letter, copied to King Abdullah, Prince Alwaleed’s uncle, among others.

The letter, which was accompanied by several others addressed to officials including the finance minister, was posted to Prince Alwaleed’s Twitter account on Sunday. The letters were dated May 13 and a spokesperson for the prince confirmed they were genuine.

The Saudi oil ministry declined to comment on the letter. Saudi Arabia is the world’s largest crude oil exporter, earning $336bn from petroleum exports last year, according to data from Opec, the oil producers’ cartel.

Oil revenues account for 92 per cent of the state budget, according to Prince Alwaleed, and accounted for almost 90 per cent of the country’s export revenues according to Opec.

Opec officials have sought to play down the threat posed to the kingdom from surging North American oil production, which saw US imports from Opec members tumble to a 15-year low last year.

Despite falling US imports, the cartel saw a record windfall of $1.26tn from petroleum exports last year, according to data published by the organisation today. But the International Energy Agency forecasts demand for crude Opec to fall sharply over the next five years

“The world is increasingly less dependent on oil from Opec countries including the kingdom,” Prince Alwaleed wrote.

Speaking in Washington in April, Mr Naimi, who has been the country’s oil minister for almost 20 years, welcomed increased American output as a stabilising influence on global oil prices.

He also pointed out that Saudi crude exports to the US actually increased in 2012. That is largely because US refiners have not been able to replace the kingdom’s heavy and sour crude oil.

But Prince Alwaleed rejected Mr Naimi’s assessment, although he focused on rising US gas output rather than the country’s crude oil production, which saw its single largest annual increase ever last year.

“We disagree with your excellency on what you said and we see that raising North American shale gas production is an inevitable threat,” Prince Alwaleed said.

Prince Alwaleed has long been a maverick figure in the Saudi monarchy, frequently taking positions that differ from official policy. Although he is the king’s nephew, few analysts count him among the most influential figure in the ruling family.

But public disagreements among the Saudi royal family are rare, although the prince is no stranger to controversy. Earlier this year he publicly attacked Forbes magazine for underestimating his personal fortune.

'Tragic day': Judge orders three former Penn State officials to stand trial

Former Penn State vice president Gary Schultz, left, former president Graham Spanier and former athletic director Tim Curley.

By Becky Bratu, Staff Writer, NBC News
Three former Penn State University administrators — former President Graham Spanier, former vice president Gary Schultz and ex-athletic director Tim Curley — were ordered Tuesday to stand trial on charges they covered up the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal.

The three are due to be arraigned in Harrisburg, Pa., on Sept. 20.

A Pennsylvania district judge ruled Tuesday that prosecutors had shown enough evidence to warrant a trial.

Judge William Wenner called it "a tragic day for Penn State University," according to NBCPhiladelphia.com. Read more...http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/07/30/19778836-tragic-day-judge-orders-three-former-penn-state-officials-to-stand-trial?lite

ON THE BALL: Worsham

Tiger Rag editor selects the best quotes from LSU sports in 2012-13

By CODY WORSHAM
Tiger Rag Editor

For 30 issues a year, my job is to fill the pages of this esteemed publication with words.

Lots of words.

And while I like to think I’m fairly competent when it comes to composition, I am fully aware that my most excellent expositions are deliberative, and, as such, fall far short of that which our LSU family members spontaneously omit orally.

Or, for those without a Thesaurus, this: sometimes, it’s better to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

In a world as diverse as that of LSU athletics, there’s no shortage of memorable quotes, and 2012-13 was no exception.

In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite quotes from the 2012-13 year.

“Spectacular group of men. You go find them, throw your arms around them, and you give them a big kiss on the mouth … if you’re a girl.” - Les Miles, after LSU’s 41-34 win against Ole Miss Nov. 17

Picking a favorite quote from the most recent epic rant from Miles was no easy task.

There were a variety of gems, from:

The funny: “It was a wild and wooly one. Maybe you guys will name this one that. ‘The Wild and Wooly Game.’ Don’t we have ‘The Earthquake Game?’ There’s a bunch of them. It was wild and wooly.”

The profrane: “How frickin’ easy it would have been to say, ‘It’s their night.’ How f**king easy it would have been.”

The funny and profane: “(Josh) Dworaczyk has been here longer than I have. Are you sh**tin’ me?”

But the “kiss on the mouth” takes the cake here, simply for its shock value. And it’s not so much the content of the quote as the context: Miles was furiously raging about his team’s lack of respect and, with no warning, dropped the punch line.

It hit. I still laugh remembering the moment. Well played, Les. Well played.

“The feedback was great. I got great news back, but me and my family thought it was best for me to stay. We’re going to have a great team next year and have opportunities to grow as a player, so we decided to stay.” - LSU forward Johnny O’Bryant announcing his return to the team in 2013-14.

Speaking of uexpected quotes, almost no one thought O’Bryant’s April press conference would present good news to LSU.

In fact, O’Bryant’s own teammates were sure they were present to say goodbye to their star forward.

Instead, O’Bryant surprised everyone by announcing his intentions to stay.

For me, it was a pleasant surprise. I’d voiced my opinion that O’Bryant needed to return quite loudly, saying he wasn’t ready for the league and that he wouldn’t get drafted. Even O’Bryant took note, reacting to me on Twitter negatively and giving me some cool quotes at his announcement press conference.

“Everybody’s got their own opinion,” he said. “But i believe in myself, my family believes in me, and that’s all that matters. A lot of people probably thought I wouldn’t get drafted anyway.”

i didn’t, but the biggest reason I didn’t think O’Bryant wouldn’t be drafted was because I didn’t think he was being honest with himself. I believed that he believed he was a better player than he was.

What O’Bryant showed me by returning was that I was wrong. He sees he must improve. he sees that he has an opportunity not just to improve his stock for the NBA, but also to make a lasting legacy at LSU.

That shows maturity and self-awareness I didn’t realize he had, and those qualities only strengthen my opinion that O’Bryant is in for a big year in 2013-14, first as a college star and then as an NBA Draft pick.

“I was all smiles because I realized what Cam Cameron will do for us.” - Miles after introducing Cam Cameron as offensive coordinator.

Miles is often noted for his bizarre quotes (see above), but this one from his February introduction of Cameron stood out to me.

I asked Miles why he was smiling the entire time he spoke about Cameron, and he answered with a smile.

Like O’Bryant, Miles proved me wrong by hiring Cameron. I though Miles, like O’Bryant, had a perception problem. That he didn’t think he needed offensive help.

By hiring Cameron, Miles proved he’s ready to hand the reins of the offense - or at least share them more equally - with his longtime friend.

The potential benefits to the Tiger offensive attack are endless.

“All sick children can come for free. That’s my vision.” - Former LSU basketball star Shaquille O’Neal at his induction to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.

Shaq will always be an LSU legend, but his announcment last month that he was building a children’s hospital in Baton Rouge made him a hero in my mind.

O’Neal has long been a polarizing figure, and remains so today, but no one can deny the size of his heart.

It’s even bigger than his 7-foot frame might indicate.

Thompson: The trouble with Johnny

July, 30, 2013

By Edward Aschoff | ESPN.com

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is a lot of things.

He's a Heisman Trophy winner. He's a record-setter. A trendsetter. A freak athlete. An attention-grabber. And a certified celebrity.

But what he isn't is shy. His attraction to the limelight has brought Texas A&M plenty of new onlookers and attention, but it's also brought those inside the program some headaches with all of the off-field drama that has followed Johnny Football.

True, he's a 20-year-old like thousands and thousands of other 20-year-olds. But unlike all those other 20-year-olds, he has the fame that B-list celebrities dream of. And because of that, Manziel brings unwanted attention with every word he speaks, every club he enters, every tweet he sends and every alarm he misses.

ESPN's Wright Thompson had a chance to spend some time with Johnny Football to find out what it's like to walk a day in Manziel's shoes:

FOUR DAYS AFTER the tweet, Johnny Manziel did what many boys do when they're in trouble. He went home. The farm roads and state highways between College Station and Tyler blurred under the wheels of his black Mercedes-Benz, the one he wanted so badly that his dad finally bought it for him. Paul Manziel didn't want his son to do something stupid to get it for himself. A jagged line marked the back left quarter panel; even before Johnny tweeted that he wanted to leave College Station, someone had keyed his car. When Johnny arrived at his grandmother's house in Tyler on this Wednesday, Paul leaned over and silently ran his finger along the length of the cut, seeing what someone had done. He felt helpless. Building tension from the past week, and from the seven months of scrutiny that preceded it, had left his son on edge and exhausted. Maybe here, outside the siege walls of College Station, Johnny could exhale. He needed space to retake the control he'd lost over both himself and his new persona. Johnny Football is a growling grown-ass beast of a human. Johnathan Manziel is a boy trying to become a man.

Honoring your Father and Mother is a very good idea to me, no matter how young or old we are. My Father told me that one of the greatest heavyweights champions of all time Joe Louis always told the press that he was simply lucky to be winning the prize fights that he kept winning,

Staying humble even when he was so obviously a much higher class prize fighter and person. So that is the kind of champions that truly attract the attention of all the generachion of people to keep talking about Joe Louis ability throughout history. It now seems that Johnny football has a long way to go, even after getting the Heisman trophy.
