A story in the Drudge Report today started me thinking about the news media in our life. http://www.drudgereport.com/ (Gay Activist Invited to WH Flip off Regan). And also a story about Romney being comfortable around white folks. http://freebeacon.com/
All the ink and well written words about spinning every day events in America with a political progressive Democrat point of view...News media bull talk, double talk, talk. All for our benefit to join up with their ideas of how we should live our life in these United States of America.
Can words for that matter help us to know about another persons feelings and their emotion's to better understand and appreciate their personality. Link to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?
If we listen with a open mind we just about get to really know them. Getting close to someone else can go very deep. Link To:http://www.youtube.com/
The personality of the people we love seem to be the hardest feature to express to strangers that they did not get to meet. The special people that we so appreciate. The true real presence of the one we love. Charlie Chaplin in Pantomime silent movies can be a great help to us in understanding the ability to capture a real moment of true personality. Did you see the nice blind lady throw the water into Chaplin face. That was the intangible charm of Charlie Chaplin personality that made everyone laughs or cry.
The art of communication starts a process in me that simply drives me to sing, or to hear a song. To remember, and capture a moment of human beauty. Our life is so very brief that I sometime wounder if we will ever be able to make our life's moments last together. The song, Once upon a time, is one of the songs that tell us about our humanity's sweet sadness. Link to: http://www.youtube.com/
Art is the one human medium that connects our quick lived, bad or beautiful moment within our real life. We can understand a work of art much easier then lets say, bull talk from politicians or news media with self interest. Art can really capture the truth in our life. Something of a real moment that we can study and keep. Something close to forever. Even divine.
Like, Wow, I once bought a slice of delicious cold watermelon in N'awlins for .25 cents. In 1953. They ( the city then ) would have these watermelon stands with benches on open corner lots, around our 9th ward neighborhoods. At night a platter of slice watermelon, knife, salt on a bench at the watermelon stand was simply a wonderful night outside relieving the hot days summer heat. I can still remember that moment back then very clearly now. Just like those people then are unchanged by time.
I can't tell you who the City mayor was then, or governor. I think the president was Ike Eisenhower.
