Could they be innocent by reason of insanity?

In the years gone by I often wonder about the people back then and how they dressed, worked, and played with the everyday society that they live in. When I see one of the historical events from an old film or story I particularly become touched by them. After all, but for a few long ago years, that could have very well been us. GoldRing: "Did they have politicians then?

 Tinker Town: "Yes " -----------------------------------------------------------

Tinker Town: "I am really sorry to tell you GoldRing that our country's politicians are simply crackers, because they are always chasing votes. Nothing else seems to matter to them."
"Look at how many games they play on the American people."
GoldRing: "Could they really be insane?"
"I can't imagine that the men and women in our government could be doing what they do any other way. They must be crazy."
Tinker Town: "Yes, I think they are too. Insane in a very bad way. Not crazy enough to go to a sanitarium, or not screw up enough to get treatment from a good therapist. But just insane enough to become incompetent at governing the people's best interest. The government is over-run with
bad screwballs."
GoldRing: "They seem to be atracted to the Washington, DC government jobs on a mass scale. Normal people just don't conduct their daily business like what the Washington, DC politicians do.
"
Blank: "They seem to be attracted, not "atracted."
GoldRing: "Thanks Blank. What can we do about the corrupted politicians?
Tinker Town: "Vote for better people."
GoldRing: "The Game is fixed and we are not invited into the gang."

Tinker Town: "I'm glad that we are not apart of that bunch, GoldRing"
GoldRing: "Goodness you are right. Did you see the Supreme court ruling about the Arizona immigration law?"
Tinker Town: "Yes."

Tinker Town: "How would you like to wake up tomorrow morning as a United States Senator, Congressman, White House cabinet member, or even president?"
GoldRing: "Treasury!!! That the job I would want. I would want to be around all that money."
Tinker Town: Ha ha ha ha...
