The pageantry of college football 2012

Tinker Town: " At this point we must create your own deep appreciation of college football. Leaving the modern televised computer football games that is sold commercially to the general public liking. Big time money is absolutely everywhere. But we can still enjoy the real color, pomp, and circumstances of the time tested spirit of our schools college football excitement that we have so learned to love over the years.
Our college marching bands are to often drowned out by piped in music for the most part, from computerized sound systems around the college football stadiums. More louder noise seems to be preferred to the normal sound of the college bands alone, I can't explain why. Never the less, the sights and sounds of the college football games today is a special treat for all of us, one and all."

Poll: Future of Joe Paterno statue

July, 16, 2012
By Adam Rittenberg | ESPN.com

The Penn State Head coach, the AD, and the President of the University, all knew about the crimes of child abuse and sexual exploitation by defensive coach Sandusky.
The NCAA, State of Pennsylvania, and everyone better do something very permanent, and lawful to further protect our children. Enough is enough?
It's amazing everyone is worried about a dead guy when one of the guys that was also implicated on the Freeh Report (former AD Tim Curley) is on PAID LEAVE by Penn State. I think that is the bigger problem that no is talking about (and after the Freeh report, Penn State said they have not made a decision to fire Curley yet. Isn't PSU still paying for Curley's (and Schultz's) legal fees? If Penn State has to do something, it has to distance itself from these two.
Oh I am sure they would love to "distance itself" from them.....However, the problem is they are contractually responsible to cover their legal fees....I know, huh...? Bummer....
"The statue represents the good that Joe did. It doesn't represent the bad that he did."
