The Roman Crowd is a convenient way to explain to other people our own 2013 American social realities. Outside of our twenty first century advancing technology nothing of much has improved between mankind's so called civilized civilization.
---------
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"The Roman Empire (Latin: Imperium Romanum) was the post-Republican period of the ancient Roman civilization, characterised by an autocratic form of government and large territorial holdings around the Mediterranean in Europe, Africa, and Asia.[5] The 500-year-old Roman Republic, which preceded it, had been destabilized through a series of civil wars. Several events marked the transition from Republic to Empire, including Julius Caesar's appointment as perpetual dictator (44 BC); the Battle of Actium (2 September 31 BC); and the granting of the honorific Augustus to Octavian by the Roman Senate (16 January 27 BC)."

What
we believe and what is true about how we still live as a community is
as plain as what we see and hear around us. The proof is in the pudding,
and as you can see nowadays the hyped up sensational news still sells,
So just what is the difference between our American crowd and the once
powerful Roman crowd of (44 BC).How many people that you know makeup their own mind, and control their own feeling and thoughts, privately exercising and using their own reasoning power. Or are they just another person in the crowd, like so many other people, that seem to be captured when the TV cameras start showing the bull talk television shows that everyone pays so much attention to. Infatuated with TV celebrity.
That this generation of people seem to be
squandering all the social advancement that our America short history
has gained up until now. And for some reason this crowd of Americans
does not see that the self reliant character of the men and women from
that time before them, who through their sweat and hard work truly did
build what they are using today, generachion after generachion, and are
so foolishly tearing down today.
How many people do you know today are such a good friend to you and that they are not swayed by public opinion. And how many people do you know has a true feeling about how they live. And that they don't keep gossiping about the secrets that they are exposed to from the friendship that they have with you, staying true to your trust and simply keeping your secrets privet.
How many people do you know that don't trade their friendship for finance favors, or use the people that they know for political gain.
How many man or
women do you know who stands on their own two feet staying true to their
own personality and is a real friend to others.
Guarding their self esteem and saving their own soul.
If you know one or two of those people in a lifetime at this time in America, then you are a very lucky person.
I think that I knew of only one and I just might find out in the years to come that I might know a few more, much less a crowd of American people with a very civilized personality and person. Not corrupted with the mobs mentality?

in mankind civilization whatsoever in 2013, in fact I truly think that
we as a American society are declining.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) took to Facebook Friday night to tear into the Internal Revenue Service for targeting conservative groups during the 2012 election.
"I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night," Palin wrote.
In an apology Friday, Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS's exempt organizations division, revealed that groups with the words "tea party" or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status had received greater scrutiny in the 2012 election.
The White House said it was inappropriate for the IRS to target tea party groups for additional reviews. Despite the White House statements condemning the IRS's actions, Palin said the news was "another step in the unraveling of the Obama administration's self-proclaimed 'hope and change.'"
Republicans blasted the IRS, with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell calling for a White House review to assure that "thuggish practices" were not being used against Americans.

Benghazi Emails: State Department Sought To Change Libya Talking Points
By DONNA CASSATA and JULIE PACEWASHINGTON -- Political considerations influenced the talking points that U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice used five days after the deadly Sept. 11 assault in Benghazi, Libya, with State Department and other senior administration officials asking that references to terror groups and prior warnings be deleted, according to department emails.
The latest disclosures Friday raised new questions about whether the Obama administration tried to play down any terrorist factor in the attack on a diplomatic compound just weeks before the November presidential election. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed when insurgents struck the U.S. mission in two nighttime attacks.

Sarah Palin On IRS Targeting Conservative Groups In 2012: 'I'm Sure Obama Is Grateful'
"I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night," Palin wrote.

Let the Light ShineToday we learned that our government targeted and harassed conservative Americans who simply wanted to be involved in the national discussion. Is it any wonder why Americans are so distrustful of D.C.? I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night.--------
So many Americans knew this was happening, but many felt defenseless and even helpless against a government that seems to roll along without accountability or sense of obligation to the people it’s supposed to serve. These Americans were mocked for being concerned about this, but now we see light shining on the truth, finally.
This IRS revelation is another step in the unraveling of the Obama administration's self-proclaimed “hope and change.” Between the Benghazi cover-up and the IRS targeting Obama’s political opponents, we see the corruption at the heart of big government.
Americans should remember that this same corrupt IRS will be in charge of enforcing Obamacare. And this same inept and corrupt government will supposedly secure our now unsecured borders in advance of immigration reform and will implement a completely ethical and non-political IPAB panel to make life and death health care decisions for you and your family. Forgive me for not trusting these big government promises any more than I trust the White House’s latest Benghazi spin or the IRS’ fairness.
Despite all of this, I still believe that this “fundamental transformation of America” is temporary. This attempted transformation into a disheartened, weakened, unrecognizable nation is so far below anything Americans deserve. It becomes permanent only if we throw up our hands and surrender to the corruption and cover-ups.
We must demand more light shine on all that’s transpiring in D.C.’s self-absorbed bubble. On the IRS scandal, we must have accountability and a full investigation. On Benghazi, Speaker Boehner must create a Select Committee with full investigative and subpoena authority to get to the bottom of the cover-up. Keep the faith, friends.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Presidential elections start in Iowa.
On Friday, Sen. Rand Paul put his stake in the ground for a possible run in 2016 by mocking the Obama administration and delivering a blistering critique of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's handling of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. The administration has been criticized for failing to provide security during the attack and for its characterization of the incident afterward.
Speaking at the Iowa GOP’s annual Lincoln Dinner, Paul questioned the initial response to the attacks and asked, "First question to Hillary Clinton: Where in the hell were the Marines?"
"It was inexcusable, it was a dereliction of duty, and it should
preclude her from holding higher office," the Kentucky Republican added
to loud applause.
Republicans' search for a candidate to deliver their first victory in a presidential election since 2004 began as Paul used the plum speaking slot to plant the seeds for his own possible bid. And he won his biggest applause by taking on Clinton, who's seen as the early front-runner for the Democratic nomination to succeed President Barack Obama. The Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservative groups is outrageous. Those who did this should be fired immediately. That’s obvious.
It continues a slovenly week for Barack Obama. The President has been very proud of the absence of scandal in his administration, and rightly so. The inability of his opponents to find any significant corruption in the historic $800 billion stimulus package was a real achievement, given the speed of the payout. None of his top aides have been caught up in taking bribes while in office–although their race through the revolving door into lucrative private sector positions is well beyond nauseating.

Crystal ball shines bright for LSU
With
the release of the 247Sports crystal ball, LSU's 2014 class appears to
have a bright future with seven five-star prospects predicted to sign
with the Tigers in February.
The crystal ball, which can be found below the school interest and above the timeline on a recruit's profile page, records the dates predictions are made, and experts are able to change their predictions as new offers come across and new dominos fall. Previous predictions will also be available on a player's profile.
Thus far, the 247Sports team hasn't missed, predicting correctly in each majority opinion on predictions since April 15.
And when it comes to the industry's take on LSU's 2014 class, the future appears to be very bright. If the Tigers close on the final prospects on their board, a No. 1 finish in the 247Sports Team Rankings - for the first time in the Les Miles era - would be well within reach.
With nine commitments already on board, including five-star Edward Paris, here is how the crystal ball sees LSU finish the class.
Of all analysts that weighed in thus far, LSU has been predicted 100% of the time for the following prospects:
Prospect - 247Composite rating - Prediction status
DB Tony Brown - .9945 - 100% LSU
Number predicted: 14 for LSU
Geaux247 predicted: LSU (Shea, Sonny)

QB Mason Rudolph - .8743 - 100% LSU

Of all analysts that weighed in thus far, LSU has been predicted as the majority favorite for the following prospects:
RB Leonard Fournette - .9997 - 86% LSU
Number predicted: 13 for LSU, 2 for Alabama
Geaux247 predicted: LSU (Shea, Sonny)
******
LB Clifton Garrett - .9835 - 67% LSU
Number predicted: 2 for LSU, 1 for Ohio State
Geaux247 predicted: (none)
******
OT Cameron Robinson - .9981 - 53% LSU
Number predicted: 7 for LSU, 6 for Alabama
Geaux247 predicted: - LSU (Sonny)
Here are the names to keep an eye, each of which has recently had an analyst(s) predict them to end up signing with the Tigers.
WR D'haquille Williams - 1.000 - 33% LSU
Number predicted: 2 for Auburn, 1 for LSU
Geaux247 predicted: (none)
Quick Thought: Williams has the full attention of the LSU staff, and he would be a take in the 2014 class if he's able to get his academics in order by December and enroll at a college by January. If Williams stays on the right path, watch for LSU's stock to continue to increase with the five-star junior college prospect.
******
QB Brandon Harris - .9981 - 25% LSU
Number predicted: 6 for Texas A&M, 2 for LSU
Geaux247 predicted: Texas A&M (Sonny)
Quick Thought: Harris picked up an offer from LSU on Wednesday, so the predictions will likely begin to swing towards the in-state school as Harris navigates through his recruitment process this offseason. Harris has evidently jumped to the top of LSU's big board after his workout in from of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron this week, and the press is on to turn the Shreveport dual-threat quarterback into a Tiger. Harris was once predicted by multiple analysts to end up at Arkansas, then the momentum shifted to the Aggies once the offer was made official. With LSU now in the mix, look for more shakeup.

A cell phone video shows LSU running back Jeremy Hill punching a man from behind and then celebrating with high fives when a second unidentified man knocked the victim out with another punch, according to a Baton Rouge Police report on the incident.
Hill, 20, LSU's leading rusher last season was arrested for simple battery early Saturday morning after the fight, which occurred outside Reggie's, an off-campus bar in Tigerland. He was suspended indefinitely by LSU Coach Les Miles, the school announced Monday.
The second suspect has not been identified but police are continuing to search for him. Hill has not been formally charged by the East Baton Rouge District Attorney's office.
The victim, Connor Baldridge, told Baton Rouge Police officer Clifford Crouch he was struck in the head two or three times and remembers waking up on the ground after Crouch arrived on the scene at approximately 2:13 a.m., according to the report.
Crouch watched a video provided by witness Casey Franz, who recorded the incident on his cell phone. In the report, Crouch says the video clearly shows Baldridge get up off the ground and walk away from the two suspects. Hill then punched Baldridge behind the left ear and Baldridge was then punched again by the second suspect, Crouch said in the report.
Hill and the second man can be seen in the video giving each other high fives and flaunting in front of Baldridge, the report says. The video operator can be heard saying "Jeremy Hill punching people."
With assistance from LSU campus police, Crouch located Hill near his residence at the West Campus Apartments and arrested him. Hill admitted he had been in Tigerland but was not involved in the fight. Hill continued to deny his participation in the incident even after being shown the video.
Hill's attorney, Marci Blaize, did not return calls to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, but she told the Advocate in an email that, "Obviously, Jeremy was there as the video indicates. However, there is most likely more to the story than what is contained in a 30-second video." Blaize's email also said she was still gathering information.
Baton Rouge Police are still searching for the second man, who may be charged with felony second degree battery, according to the police report.
Hill posted a $500 bond and was released from East Baton Rouge Parish Prison at 11 a.m. Saturday, but the incident could land him back behind bars and could jeopardize his season because of a two-year probation he is serving. He rushed for 752 yards and 12 touchdowns last season as a freshman.
Hill and Avery Tate pleaded guilty to misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile in January of 2012. The two, then students at Redemptorist High School, were arrested for engaging in a sexual act with a 14-year-old girl in the school locker room in December of 2010. Both were given suspended six-month prison terms and put on active supervised probation for two years with the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office. A condition of the probation was that he refrain from all criminal conduct, The Advocate reported.
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore said police are still looking for the second suspect.
Moore said the charge against Hill could be upgraded but is "probably appropriate for simple battery." He also said Hill could be called, this week or next, before District Judge Bonnie Jackson, who granted the probation in the first trial, for a review of the probation terms.
"It's her call but I think that's what's going to happen," Moore said.
Moore said Jackson might follow standard procedure of waiting for the newer case to develop and be resolved.
"He's presumed innocent, obviously," Moore said. "She will probably wait and see what happens before a decision on revocation (of probation) or not.
"I haven't received all the reports yet. I have a general idea of what happened and I've looked at the video."
Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson was sent back to prison under a similar situation. Jefferson had a pending charge of simple battery from the Shady's barfight incident when he was arrested for simple possession of marijuana last October. At a discovery hearing, presiding District Judge Chip Moore ordered Jefferson back to prison for violation of the bond condition for the first arrest.
Jefferson then pleaded guilty to the first charge and was released. The possession charge is pending. Moore said "different judges rule different ways."
Hill's suspension was the fourth time in the past year an LSU player has been suspended. Miles twice suspended punter Brad Wing for positive drug tests and kicked star cornerback Tyrann Mathieu off the team last August for multiple failed drug tests.

- LSU Question of the Day: Are arrests since 2010 an indication of a problem in LSU program?
The arrest of LSU running back Jeremy Hill recently has made for negative headlines for LSU. But when it comes to that subject, LSU is in the lower half of the SEC going back to 2010.
According to an unofficial count tallied by NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune in that span, four programs are in double figures, led by newcomer Missouri with 18, not counting two coaches' arrest for DWI. Vanderbilt has the fewest with only one in that span.
In between is Florida (17), Georgia (15), Arkansas (12), Auburn (nine), Kentucky and Ole Miss (eight each), Alabama (seven), LSU (six) and Mississippi State, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Tennessee (five each).
LSU fans were divided on whether there was a problem at LSU or if it was more of a universal issue, according to this poll we posted.
Scroll down for a team-by-team and player-by-player breakdown. The list includes players arrested while a member of the team, which excludes the four former Tigers arrested last October for marijuana possession, among them Tyrann Mathieu and Jordan Jefferson.
LSU Coach Les Miles would not talk about Hill's case specifically but did say he's satisfied with his disciplinary process and when something does happen he uses it as a reminder for his team.
"We're way ahead of most of the pack," Miles said. "We address it uniformly, right away and our guys recognize we're all attached. I told them right away, 'Jeremy Hill is suspended from this team; to return him back is the only way for this team to be as it's supposed to be - together.' Right now he's not on the team."
Miles announced that Hill was suspended indefinitely two days after his arrest but has abstained from comment until the legal process plays out. Because he violated probation from a previous arrest while in high school, Hill has had added conditions, including a 9 p.m. curfew, to the terms of his probation.
"What I've always done is get as much information as I possibly can from both sides to determine if in fact a guy needs to be suspended," Miles said. "I'm talking about before the law is involved. There's a couple I have not suspended.
"Any time I find a very serious occurrence, I separate that man from our team. We're held to a different standard. We are expected to conduct ourselves in a manner that is representative of our school community and family."
Miles said he uses a defined code with a points system for determining discipline and he uses it "universally" among his players. He doesn't believe there is a chronic problem and that the arrests have been unrelated.
"I try to handle each case independently," he said. "They fall into categories of 'this is where you suspend, this is where you don't.' This is how we conduct our business.
"If things happen that are related, or happening routinely as they say, it gets my dander up and there's a little more price to pay."
