Tinker:
President Barack Obama has lost his credibility both here at home and across the world. Parsing words in an attempt to not enforce the American laws as written is nothing more then running the American federal government in a lawless way, and not a legal way.
The spirit of the law, is the law.
Barack Obama keeps reaping the lawlessness of his own making. Because losing the respect of a population of people who are already up against a very serious crime waves in an uncertain world feels like the pathway to disaster for the American people to me.
President Barack Obama will be protected by the CIA right on up until the last man standing, not so lucky for you and me.

A bad talking Parrot:
A quiet, polite man owns a disgusting, foul mouthed parrot.
One day, it gets to be too much, so the man locks the bird in a kitchen cabinet. When the man finally lets him out, the bird cuts loose with a stream of vulgarities, so the man puts the bird into the freezer.
After a few seconds of clawing and thrashing, it suddenly gets VERY quiet.
The man opens the freezer door. The bird calmly climbs onto the man's outstretched arm and says, "I'm very sorry. I promise I'll never curse again."
The man is astonished. Then the parrot says, "By the way, what did the chicken do?"

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
As those of you who follow DandyDonLSU on Twitter know, LSU picked up a huge commitment yesterday from elite wide receiver Trey Quinn. Quinn (WR, 6'1, 200, Barbe High) is the No. 2 prospect on my list of Top Louisiana Prospects for the Class of 2014 and is really a special player. In my opinion, he’s the best wide receiver in the state, and considering the talent in Louisiana this year that is really saying a lot. Quinn runs a 4.38 forty-yard dash, had over 2,100 receiving yards as a junior, and is on pace to break state and national receiving records this year. He needs 1,269 yards (considerably less than he had last year) to break former Evangel receiver Abram Booty's state record, and needs 1,758 yards to surpass the national record held by Dorail Green-Beckham who is currently at Missouri. Another thing I can tell you with certainty about Quinn is that his commitment to LSU is solid. He's held an LSU offer ever since last summer when he really excelled at LSU’s 2012 camp, and he took his time in committing in order to be 100% confident in his decision. If you haven’t yet seen Quinn’s highlights video, do yourself a favor and check it out now.
On a beautiful fall-like morning, the LSU football team held a 125-play scrimmage yesterday that pitted the No. 1s against the No. 2s. Based on tweets I saw from the post-scrimmage press conference, Coach Miles wasn’t real forthcoming with stats, but instead stuck to round numbers and rough estimations such as saying the team rushed for about 200 yards and threw for roughly 250. Zach Mettenberger and Anthony Jennings each threw a pair of touchdowns, and the only turnover of the day was an interception by Deion Jones on a pass by Jennings.
Below are a few more tid-bits I picked up from various tweets, and from this video interview of Les Miles by LSU’s Emile Villere:
• Terrance Magee was the leading rusher.
• Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham were the leading receivers and each caught a couple of TDs.
• Travin Dural was nicked and held out. Miles said the injury is not serious.
• Jermauria Rasco (who’s still recovering from shoulder injury) was held out for most of the scrimmage. Jordan Allen and Danielle Hunter were with the 1s.
• JC Copeland had four receptions for about 60 yards
Below is the full press release on the scrimmage as provided by LSU's sports information department:
LSU SHOWS IMPROVEMENT IN SECOND SCRIMAMGE
BATON ROUGE – LSU continued to show improvement on both sides of the ball in its second scrimmage of preseason camp here Saturday as the Tigers went through a 125-play workout in Tiger Stadium.
Saturday’s scrimmage was scripted and had the Tigers working on different down and distance combinations from different field positions. LSU also spent time on all phases of special teams. Most of the scrimmage was “thud” with no tackling to the ground, but the Tigers did have “live” tackling for about 25 plays. Full scrimmage statistics were not released.
“The weather was as nice as I can remember for a first scrimmage in Tiger Stadium,” LSU coach Les Miles said after the workout. “It was kind of what you would expect for an early first full scrimmage. We had some sloppy plays at times but at other times we were excellent. Our defense was very difficult to move against. I think the offense ended up rushing for about 200 yards.
“It was a very competitive go. We looked at situations and some key matchups that might be presented to us by our opponent in the first game. We put some of that in there for our defense to see.”
Miles complimented the play of senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger, who completed 18-of-25 passes with no interceptions. Mettenberger threw a pair of touchdown passes as did backup quarterback Anthony Jennings.
“We are throwing a variety of throws and we are going to attack the defense in a number of ways,” Miles said of LSU’s passing game. “We are going to attack it deep, attack it intermediate, and attack it short and wide on the perimeter. (Zach) is getting so many reps throwing the football. His accuracy is so much better. His instincts are sound.”
Defensively, linebacker Deion Jones recorded the only interception of the scrimmage, picking off a Jennings pass that was batted into the air. The interception was the only turnover for the LSU offense marking the second straight scrimmage that the Tigers went without a lost fumble.
Miles praised the LSU defensive line for its play on Saturday, in particular that of sophomore Danielle Hunter, who batted down at least two passes and had at least one sack.
“Danielle Hunter knocked down a couple passes,” Miles said. “He is creating real havoc for the offense at times. Both Ego (Ferguson) and Anthony (Johnson) are playing well. I think the other end - Jordan Allen. He is playing really well. He has really waited for his turn and maintained that spot. He is playing extremely well. We look forward for our ends taking the field. We think they will be ready.”
On special teams, redshirt freshman Colby Delahoussaye connected on all four of his field goal attempts, while junior James Hairston kicked the ball through the endzone on a couple of his kickoffs. Sophomore punter Jamie Keehn had a handful of his punts downed inside the 20-yard line during the punting portion of the workout.
“I think we are really ahead in special teams,” Miles said. “There is some knowledge there that has been built over time. I think Coach McGaughey is really making a difference there.
The Tigers will take Sunday off before returning to practice on Monday for its final two-a-day session of camp.
“This was one of those days as a coach you can’t wait to get to the film room because it will tell you and direct your next two weeks,” Miles said. “It will get us ready for our first opponent.”
Yesterday the Associated Press (AP) released its preseason Top 25 for the 2013 football season and LSU came in at No. 12. Other SEC teams making their top-25 include Alabama (1), Georgia (5), South Carolina (6), Texas A&M (7), and Florida (10). LSU's first opponent, TCU, came in at No. 20. As I've said before, I don’t mind the relatively low preseason expectations. I'm predicting that a lot of people sleeping on our Tigers will be awoken by a loud roar on August 31 when the Tigers take on TCU in Cowboys Stadium.
In other football news, LSU's Anthony Johnson was named to ESPN’s preseason 2013 All-America team. Here's what Edward Aschoff had to say about the junior defensive tackle: “Dubbed "The Freak" long before stepping on LSU's campus in 2011, Anthony Johnson was expected to make an immediate impact. There's no question that he always had the athletic ability to be a terror in the interior for the Tigers, but he had to bide his time and develop his game. Well, he's lighter, quicker and ready to be a freak again as he prepares to anchor LSU's rebuilt defensive line and improve on a 2012 season that saw him register 10 tackles for loss and three sacks. The strong, agile mammoth inside runs a 4.7-second 40-yard dash and should not only prove to be one of the best run-stoppers around but a tremendous pass-rusher as well.”
Before moving on to our daily jersey countdown to the start of football season, I have to let you know that LSU basketball recruiting target Craig Victor chose Arizona yesterday. LSU made a strong late push for the 5-star, 6-foot-8 former St. Augustine power forward who will be playing his senior season at Findaly Prep in Henderson, Nevada, but in the end it wasn’t enough to change his course. Victor publicly chose Arizona over LSU and Oklahoma State during an afternoon press conference in front of his AAU teammates, the New Orleans Elite.
With 13 days remaining until LSU opens the 2013 football season, let's take a look at a special player who wore No. 13 for the Tigers - Tommy Hodson. Hodson played quarterback at LSU from 1986-89 and led the Tigers to two SEC Championships, first as a freshman in 1986, and then as a junior 1988. As a Tiger, Hodson passed for 9,115 yards and 69 touchdowns, becoming the first SEC quarterback to surpass 8,000 career passing yards, and the first to throw for more than 60 touchdowns. In his freshman season, Hodson made first team All-SEC, making him the first LSU quarterback to achieve the honor since the legendary Bert Jones did so in 1972. Hodson would go on to earn first team All-SEC honors during each of his four seasons as a Tiger, which is something no Tiger had done before him or since. When I think of Hodson, I immediately think of that legendary game against Auburn on October 8, 1988 that is now simply referred to as the Earthquake Game. It was my first year at LSU and I'll never forget being in the student section for that incredible moment when Hodson connected with Eddie Fuller in the end zone on a do-or-die fourth down play with about a minute and a half remaining on the clock. In case you're a youngster or a new Tiger fan who doesn’t know the story, here's a video that shows that legendary play and explains why the game is called the Earthquake game. After his playing days as a Tiger, Hodson was selected as the 59th overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He went on to play a total of six years in the NFL with the Patriots, the Dolphins, the Cowboys and the Saints. Last I heard, Hodson and his wife, along with their twin daughters, was living in Baton Rouge and doing promotional work and TV ads.
