So now I just don't have anymore tolerance for people who lie. I'm watching college football instead.

invictus

Web definitions
"Invictus" is a short Victorian poem by the English poet William Ernest Henley (1849-1903)..

Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance,
I have not winced nor cried aloud
Under the bludgeoning of chance;
My head is bloody but unbowed.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishment the scroll;

I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

-- Henley

Well the die is cast for the next three years of television
news programing on our American television sets. Because the TV networks will be about Barack Obama who will keep walking around the White House trying to look all competent and in charge of the American peoples current affairs of state.

Before I make myself ill looking at that ridiculous charade any longer I am going to turn my attention to the 2013 college football season and the LSU fighting tiger football team. That is a more honest form of TV entertainment that I feel better with. President Obama frankly lost my respect for him when I heard him twist up the English language hiding the truth, and not telling the American people the way it is, instead of all that political bull talk. So I'll see you later Mr. president until I see another person as the commander in chief.

Andy Harris Town Hall Erupts With Calls For Impeachment, End To 'Nice Guys'

The Huffington Post  |  By A Maryland town hall meeting grew heated Tuesday, when GOP Rep. Andy Harris faced disgruntled constituents angry over partisan politics fraying the country and the perceived lack of Republican action to fix problems.

At a packed gathering in Bel Air, voters voiced their discontent on topics ranging from the Benghazi attack to National Security Agency surveillance to health care reform. Some demanded that Republicans do more to pressure President Barack Obama and Democrats to change the direction of the country.

"I want [House Speaker John] Boehner up there defying this guy and saying, 'We're going to impeachment with you' if you do not start obeying the laws," attendee Ed Hunter declared. "Listen, we're dying out here because you guys are being nice guys!" he later added. "You're acting like Boy Scouts! You've got to fight!" one woman stressed.

Harris tried to calm the crowd during the almost-two-hour meeting, emphasizing that he is "very, very worried about what the NSA is doing" and reassuring them that "you have not seen the end of Benghazi."

But Harris' constituents had grave concerns.

"When is this government going to come clean with the American people and tell us what this secret law says, how it's being secretly interpreted, how it's being secretly implemented, and what it means [to] every person in this room," one angered resident asked.

With many Republican voters alarmed at the scope of the nation's problems and frustrated with Washington gridlock, town hall meetings during Congress' August recess have been lively. Earlier this week, Reps. Robert Pittenger (R-N.C.) and Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) both held events that featured heated debate over defunding Obamacare and potentially shutting down the federal government.

LSU starting left guard Josh Williford suffered a concussion during Thursday's morning practice, a source close to the program confirmed. The injury could be career threatening for Williford who missed the Tigers final seven games in 2012 with a concussion.
Williford, a 6-foot-7, 334-pound senior from Dothan, Ala., was unconscious for about five minutes after a pileup during a team portion of practice.
Williford played right guard last year and moved over to the left side last spring when La'El Collins was shifted from left guard to left tackle. Williford has played in 31 games with 19 starts and is the only senior starter on the offensive line this season.
He suffered his first concussion in the second quarter of the Florida game when he was blindsided on an interception return and his head hit the turf. Williford missed the remainder of the season but was full speed for spring practice.

TCU coach Gary Patterson: 'I didn't mention Les Miles'

By Chip Patterson | College Football Writer

TCU coach Gary Patterson was unhappy that his comments regarding Devonte Fields' two-game suspension earlier this week were taken out of context as a direct shot at LSU.

TCU and LSU will face each other in the 2013 Cowboys Classic. The Horned Frogs will be without All-Big 12 defensive end Devonte Fields, but it is possible that the Tigers might have running back Jeremy Hill in the game, despite the fact he was recently in court for his second arrest.

LSU coach Les Miles told reporters that Hill would not have been allowed to rejoin the team if it were not for a player vote. On Tuesday, Patterson said the "whole team would vote Devonte to be back on the team because they all want to win" and added that it "doesn't teach life lessons."

Some fans, as well as writers, interpreted this comment as a direct shot at LSU. Patterson, frustrated that his words were taken out of context, sent a transcript of the post-practice interview to Les Miles to clear the air.

"I know what I said. I didn't mention Jeremy Hill. I didn't mention Les Miles," Patterson said Thursday. "It was more about Devonte Fields. If they want to make something up so they can get all fired up…I can get the same thing when I go home. Everyone can stand in line."

Patterson and Miles are good friends, and it was actually their shared agent that helped the transcript get delivered to LSU.

"I'm not Babe Ruth. I don't point at fences," Patterson said. "Most of the time I play below the water. Anybody who knows me knows that's way outside of character, so why would I do it now? Why would I call up the Tiger? They don't need any more help."

The game itself does not need any more help with hype, either. Although neither team was picked as a preseason favorite, both TCU and LSU have enough talent to contend for their respective conference titles. This game should be right there with Georgia-Clemson, Boise State-Washington, Nevada-UCLA and Northwestern-Cal as your must-see night caps for college football's first Saturday.
