The

is hurting the cause. The tea party is finely finished with the like of
Tweedledee and Tweedledum and want to start fresh with people from the
American neighborhoods instead.

Congress: Hillary’s Benghazi Investigation Let Top Officials Escape Blame
by Josh Rogin Sep 15, 2013A new report reveals that the State Department’s Benghazi investigation failed to hold senior officials accountable for the deaths of four Americans. Josh Rogin reports.
The
State Department’s investigation into the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the
U.S. mission in Benghazi was not independent and failed to hold senior
State Department officials accountable for the failures that led to the
death of four Americans, according to a new investigative report
compiled by the House Oversight Committee.
The
Administrative Review Board, chosen by then Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton, unfairly placed the blame for the terrorist attack on four
mid-level officials while ignoring the role of very senior officials in
Clinton’s State Department for decisions about security in Benghazi,
according to the new report led by Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA). Also,
the structure of the ARB and the culture in Clinton’s State Department
raised questions about the independence and integrity of the review,
according to Issa’s committee.
“The
ARB blamed systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies
within two bureaus, but downplayed the importance of decisions made at
senior levels of the Department. Witnesses questioned how much these
decisions influenced the weaknesses that led to the inadequate security
posture in Benghazi,” the report stated. “The ARB’s decision to cite
certain officials as accountable for what happened in Benghazi appears
to have been based on factors that had little or no connection to the
security posture at U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya.”
The Daily Beast first reported
in May that the four officials removed from their jobs and placed on
administrative leave as a result of the State Department’s ARB report on
Benghazi had never been told what they were accused of, never been
given any opportunity to appeal their punishments, and never were
officially fired. One of the officials, former Deputy Assistant
Secretary of State Ray Maxwell, had little to no role in Libya security
policy and was not even alleged to have been connected to the security
failures leading up to the Benghazi attack.
The Daily Beast first reported
last month that the Kerry State Department decided to allow those four
officials to return to work in the State Department, although not in
their previous jobs. Although former Undersecretary of State Thomas
Pickering, the head of the ARB, said that responsibility should be
placed at the assistant secretary level, top officials including
Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Beth Jones were never
disciplined.
‘It appears increasingly likely the Department’s primary objective was to create the public appearance of accountability.’
The
new report by Issa’s committee questions why Under Secretary of State
Patrick Kennedy, who admitted to having a role in overseeing the
decision to reject requests for more security in Benghazi before the
attack, was never blamed or disciplined by the ARB. Moreover, Kennedy
played a key role in selecting the members of the ARB and the staff that
helped the ARB do its works, Issa’s report revealed.
“The
haphazard decision to place the four officials cited by the ARB on paid
administrative leave created the appearance that former Secretary
Hillary Clinton’s decision to announce action against the individuals
named in the ARB report was more of a public relations strategy than a
measured response to a tragedy,” Issa’s report said. “Therefore, one
year after the Benghazi attacks, no one at the State Department has been
fired for their role leading up to the Benghazi attacks. It appears
increasingly likely the Department’s primary objective was to create the
public appearance of accountability.”
Several
officials told Issa’s committee that Kennedy was deeply involved in
security decisions and would have been directly involved in the decision
not to approve requests for more security in Benghazi before the
attacks.
“The
ultimate decision maker is Under Secretary Kennedy,” testified Eric
Boswell, the Assistant Secretary of Diplomatic Security, who was
punished by the ARB.
“The
way the Under Secretary for Management runs things, there is no
decision that DS makes that doesn’t have his input and his imprimatur,
his approval,” Maxwell testified. “There is no decision that DS doesn’t
make that doesn’t have his disapproval.”
The report also questions Clinton’s personal awareness and role in the mistakes that contributed to the attacks.
“Did
Secretary Clinton have views on the need to extend the Benghazi
mission, both in the fall of 2011 and summer of 2012? Was she consulted
on these questions and what, if any, influence did her opinion have on
the Department’s decisions?” the report asks.

Night Time in Tiger Stadium:
Tinker:
Here come the next two weekends LSU fans # 4, and # 5, when this years 2013 LSU tiger football team proves to us and the world that they can in fact make a championship run in this years college football seasons.
The struggle to stay undefeated
around the country is in the process of naturally regulating the losers
into the college football bone yard as the winners become the real top
ten emerging from the pack.Night Time in Tiger Stadium:
Tinker:
Here come the next two weekends LSU fans # 4, and # 5, when this years 2013 LSU tiger football team proves to us and the world that they can in fact make a championship run in this years college football seasons.
Around this time last year LSU won the Auburn game in Jordan-Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL... Won 12-10.
On October 6 LSU lost to at Florida Gators Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL...Lost 14-6
So
the 2012 LSU fighting tigers football team had one of the worst
offenses in LSU history and was still 5-1 after the first 6 weeks
into the 2012 college football season. When LSU starts playing SEC
football teams LSU began to lose one, or two, or even three, football
game because LSU was struggling to simply make a
first down, much less a touchdown.
The tigers lack of
offense was a yearly struggle from this LSU football team past, but not so for
this year tiger football team. Because it is plain to see that this 2013 LSU football team offense is
a very balanced pro style productive offense that really looks more like
what the pro football team do each and every Sunday. A true thing of
beauty to every one from the Old War School.

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
The LSU football team racked up a season-high 571 total yards
en route to a 45-13 victory over Kent State to improve to 3-0 on the
season. The 571 yards were the most for an LSU team since the
Tigers amassed 595 against Louisiana Tech on Nov. 10, 2007. In a lot of
ways the game was just what the Tigers needed in preparation for next
week’s start of SEC play, as it allowed them to fine-tune their passing
game, assert their running game, experiment in the defensive secondary,
and audition a lot of younger players competing for playing time.
Overall it was a solid outing, but it did reveal a few areas of
concerns, like penalties and missed tackles.
Once again Zach Mettenberger had a big night, as he was 13-of-18 passing for 264 yards, with no interceptions and three touchdowns. With that, Mettenberger became the first quarterback in LSU history to throw for nine touchdowns through the first three games. By comparison, LSU only threw 12 touchdown passes all season last year. What's makes Mettenberger's statistics all the more impressive is that he has yet to throw an interception this season.
Six Tigers were on the receiving end of Mettenberger's passes, led by Odell Beckham, Jr. with five catches for 76 yards and one touchdown. Jarvis Landry had four receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns. And how about fullback Connor Neighbors who grabbed a short pass in the flat and took it for 56 yards, marking the Tigers’ longest pass play of the season? Fullback JC Copeland also had a catch, as did tight end Travis Dickson and redshirt freshman receiver Travin Dural.
Speaking of Dural, many of you know that I've been very high on him since spring practice, but last night his audition didn’t really help his case. After making a nice 36-yard reception in the first quarter, he seemed a little off the rest of the night. There were a couple of plays where he seemed to have trouble with his routs, and he failed to bring in one pass that looked catchable. Then he was given a shot on special teams but turned the ball over on his first punt return attempt. Dural will learn from last night’s experience, and I still have a lot of confidence in him being a very special Tiger.
A couple of players who really bolstered their cases for playing time include cornerback TraDavious White and running back Terrance Magee. White started at cornerback in place of Jalen Collins and had four tackles, including one for a loss, and forced a fumble. Interestingly, White did not play any in the second half, and I’m not sure why. As for Magee, he got a lot of carries at tailback in the second half and ended with 108 yards on nine carries. As I mentioned on Twitter during the game, I have nothing against Alfred Blue or Kenneth Hilliard, but I believe Magee is the second best running back on the team, behind Jeremy Hill who led the team in rushing with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. In all, the Tigers amassed 307 yards on the ground, which was very good to see.
Defensively, Ego Ferguson led the Tigers with a career-high eight tackles and a sack. Safety Micah Eugene, who started in place of a nicked up Craig Loston, also had a career-best with six tackles. Another Tiger who had a big game on defense was Anthony “Freak” Johnson who was double teamed much of the night but still accounted for three tackles including 1.5 for loss. It's also worth noting that linebacker D.J. Welter recorded his first career sack as a Tiger.
Linebacker Lamin Barrow was shaken up in the first quarter and sidelined for the rest of the game, but the good news is that Coach Miles said it was just a “stinger” and that Barrow could have played if needed.
I’ll have more in my Monday morning report, but for now I’ll leave you with the following tid-bits:
• I've added video highlights of the game, as provided by LSU's Sports Information Department, to our Media Gallery.
• If you're participating in our LA High School Football Pickem or just want to check out this weekend’s statewide scores, please note that we have just about all of them entered now, although a couple of games were postponed until tonight.
• And to those of you who asked about my fishing trip yesterday, we had a great time and did pretty well. I plan on adding a pic of our catch later today or tomorrow.
