What is the republican establishment afraid of, becoming found out over the way they cut backroom deals with democrats. Or hoping what they tell each other in private will not become known to the American citizens in public also.
I can only guess that the Washington DC republican establishment is concerned about the American citizens seeing them for who they really are. Tweedledee to Tweedledum, both playing out a show on TV to hide what is really going on in the the American people government
Because if and when the American people do see what is really going on in Washington DC that will be the day of reckoning for all of the low life politicians walking the halls of congress.
If I was them, I would be worried too.

Rush Limbaugh Tears Into Fox News For Ted Cruz Criticism (AUDIO)
Posted: 09/25/2013 2:48 pm EDT | Updated: 09/25/2013 3:31 pm EDT
On Monday, Brit Hume said that Cruz and other Republicans were being pressured by misguided members of the conservative media into pursuing a defunding of Obamacare and a potential government shutdown. Limbaugh was not pleased. He said he had expected to hear such talk from MSNBC or Politico, adding:
"Of all places Fox News trashing all over this, and Fox News essentially blaming me and other conservative media for making Ted Cruz what he is! Brit Hume, of all people, essentially said that Ted Cruz is who he is because he's being pressured by people like me. And left to his own devices, Cruz might not be doing this, is the implication. He didn't actually say that. I was literally stunned watching this. The fact that, even after 21 hours, even at the beginning of it, they cannot at least admit that this is who the man is. He doesn't need any advisers here. He doesn't need any pressure. The man is not a coward. Ted Cruz isn't afraid of anybody. The real question is, what is the Republican establishment afraid of? What are some of these conservative media types at Fox News afraid of? What is the Washington establishment on the Republican side afraid of? Government shutdown, losing elections, what do you guys think you've been doing?"(via Media Matters)

CRUZ CONTROL SHOULD BE STANDARD ON GOP MODELS
September 25, 2013
If I could briefly interrupt the Republican firing
squad aiming at Ted Cruz, let's talk about something we all agree on.
And by "we all," I mean a majority of the American people, the
Teamsters, many Democrats and every single last Republican.
Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster.
It was passed illegally without the House ever voting on the Senate bill and became law absent a single Republican vote -- even "the girls from Maine" and "the girl from Arizona" -- the only major legislation ever enacted on a strict party-line vote. The Supreme Court had to violate the Constitution's separation of powers to uphold Obamacare as a "tax" -- despite the fact that no elected body could ever have enacted such a massive tax hike even with the sleazy parliamentary tricks used to pass this bill.
Proving that everyone hates it, Congress has now exempted itself from Obamacare's provisions, having asked for, and received, a waiver from President Obama.
Yes, these are the exact same politicians who lecture us that Obamacare is "the law of the land!" (So are our immigration laws.) The same ones who huffily announce that the Supreme Court upheld it! (The court also upheld the First Amendment in Citizens United, but that doesn't stop Obama from demanding Congress overturn the First Amendment.) They are the same sanctimonious frauds who tell us that Obamacare is "the right thing to do!"
Those guys waived Obamacare for themselves. If national health care is so great, why don't they want it?
In every single category of Crap Forced On the Country by the Left, liberals always have a work-around for themselves.
They love the public schools and denounce school choice -- but their kids go to St. Albans or Sidwell Friends. As Al Gore responded to a question from a black journalist for Time magazine who asked him why he opposed school vouchers while sending his own kids to private schools, "My children -- you can leave them out of this!"

As Al Gore responded to a question from a black journalist for Time magazine who asked him why he opposed school vouchers while sending his own kids to private schools, "My children -- you can leave them out of this!"
Oh, now I see.
Liberals are always eager to release criminals and block crucial crime-fighting strategies such as stop-and-frisk -- which they announce from the safety of their antiseptic, crime-free neighborhoods. They love the homeless, but try putting a homeless shelter in their doorman buildings.
They tell us guns won't protect us -- and then we find out the loudest of them all have armed guards. Staunch gun-control advocate Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago had three armed guards with him at all times, as well as an armored car. Mayor Rahm Emanuel also has armed guards and an armored car. Chicago aldermen are allowed to carry any guns they like. But until very recently (we hope!) the people of Chicago were virtually prohibited from being armed.
Liberals love affirmative action -- provided their offspring still get into Harvard, Yale or Princeton. How about they give up their kids' seats to disadvantaged minorities?
Are you beginning to see the pattern?
Class warriors Warren Buffett and the Nation magazine's Katrina vanden Heuvel hired phalanxes of lawyers to fight the IRS when informed they weren't paying the government what they owed. George Soros and the Kennedy family stash their money in offshore accounts, safe from U.S. taxation.
Liberals also strongly support every manner of environmental regulation -- unless it blocks the view from the Kennedy compound. In deference to Teddy Kennedy's ferocious opposition to wind farms off the coast of Cape Cod, the federal government reduced the number of turbines, moved them farther off the coast and ordered them painted white to blend in with the view.
And now these government do-gooders shoving Obamacare down our throats have managed to exempt themselves from its wonderful provisions. Supreme Court justices won't have to suffer under Obamacare, but will continue to have their health care subsidized by us, the hapless taxpayers forced into this rotten system.
Unfortunately, most Republicans are too stupid to notice that Democrats are walking around with a gigantic glass jaw. Democrats must not be able to believe their dumb luck. Instead of hitting our glass jaw, Republicans have decided to attack Ted Cruz!
Cruz, and his Senate colleague Mike Lee (who, for some reason, is being held harmless by both Democrats and Republicans), have demanded that the Senate vote on the House bill fully funding the entire government -- except Obamacare. Most important, they want Democrats to allow more than one amendment to that bill.
The Democrats are refusing either of those options in the Senate.
Among the amendments Republicans might want to introduce is one requiring members of Congress and their staffs to live under Obamacare. Or an amendment delaying the law's implementation for the whole country -- and not just the big employers favored by Obama. And also an amendment taking the administration of Obamacare out of the hands of the utterly corrupt IRS.
Can we at least get Senate Democrats to vote on these urgent reforms? I'd especially like to see the votes of red state Democrats, such as Mary Landrieu, Mark Begich and Mark Pryor. I bet their Republican opponents in the midterm elections next year would, too.
Of course, for Cruz's threat to work, it has to be credible. Too bad Republicans have been blanketing the airwaves proclaiming that: (1) They don't have the votes to defund Obamacare; and (2) Republicans will get blamed in the event of any government shutdown.
Republicans: You never had to shut the government down! (And thanks for making it blindingly clear that you never intended to.) You could have waited to see how the public opinion was going and cried uncle at the last minute.
But instead of attacking Obamacare and the breathtaking hypocrisy of the Democrats over this massively unpopular law, far too many Republicans have been spending their time attacking Ted Cruz. (Why didn't we see one-tenth as much venom directed at Sen. Marco Rubio for trying to give the Democrats 30 million new voters with amnesty as we have toward Cruz for trying to defund Obamacare?)
For every minute you spend attacking Cruz on TV, Republicans, could you consider spending two minutes attacking Obamacare?
Barry Goldwater didn't "have the votes" when Ronald Reagan launched the conservative movement with his "A Time for Choosing" speech in 1964. But he galvanized conservatives and gave them the hope of future victories. Does Rep. Peter King think Reagan was a fraud who lost influence in the Republican Party with that speech? We don't have the votes, Ron!
Whether or not Cruz succeeds, we wouldn't be talking about Obamacare this week without his efforts to defund it -- at least those of us who are talking about this disastrous law, rather than attacking Cruz.

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
Well folks, in just two days we’ll find out just how good this 6th ranked LSU football team is when they take on No. 9 Georgia between the hedges in what should be one of the best games of the year. The oddsmakers have Georgia as a 3-point favorite at this time, but I'm happy to see that more and more national pundits are picking LSU to win. Just yesterday I came across this video of CBSSports’s Adam Azer, Dennis Dodd and Bruce Feldman all picking LSU to win and I like the reasons they gave for their predictions. Zach Mettenberger is playing like a seasoned senior quarterback, Jeremy Hill seems to be peaking and is running as well as anyone in the country, and one would be hard pressed to name a better wide receiver duo than Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham, Jr. Of course, a good argument could be made that Georgia has a quarterback and running back that have been at least as impressive in Aaron Murray and Todd Gurley, and running back Keith Marshall is no slouch either. With both teams having such potent offenses, this game will likely come down to playing consistent defense for a full four quarters, while winning the special teams and turnover battles. Tomorrow I'll give you my thoughts on who has the edge at each unit, as well as my weekly predictions.
Last night I enjoyed listening to Les Miles speak about his Fighting Tigers during his weekly radio talk show, and below is a brief summary of what was said.
After acknowledging the loss of legendary former LSU coach and athletic director Paul Dietzel and wishing the Dietzel family well, Coach Miles and Jim Hawthorn talked briefly about last week’s game and the way the Tigers handled the adverse weather, which Miles continued to refer to as “wind-driven dew.” Miles said his offense and special teams handled the conditions well and did the right things to jump out to an early lead - namely capitalizing on a 40-yard change of possession from the fumbled snap by the Auburn punter, and Jeremy Hill's fast start which accounted for two early touchdowns. Miles pointed out that Hill has reached the 1,000 yard rushing mark faster than any other back in LSU history.
Before going to the phone lines, Hawthorn named Hill's 49-yard touchdown run on LSU's third offensive play of the night as the offensive play of the game. Miles agreed and said it set the tone for the game.
As usual, Gary from Baton Rouge was the first caller of the night and he asked which linebackers would start this week. The four linebackers Miles mentioned in his response were Lamin Barrow, whom he said would start and play significantly, D.J. Welter, Kwon Alexander and Kendell Beckwith. Miles did not mention Tahj Jones, who is nursing a minor injury.
The second caller, Ken, complimented the play of Duke Riley on special teams and asked whether he would play some at linebacker. Miles said that Riley will continue to play on special teams this year and will be a linebacker in the future, and that he will have a great career at LSU.
Tom from Baton Rouge asked Miles his opinion on what he called a multitude of “slap-happy” offenses in the SEC this year. Miles said that he didn’t want to characterize his team that way and that he thinks we’ll see a Tiger team that also plays great defense and tackles well this week.
One of the next callers was a well-spoken youngster from Benton named Jaxson who asked Miles what he thought LSU’s weaknesses would be against Georgia. Miles turned the question around saying that he doesn’t want to talk about weaknesses but instead wants to focus on strengths. He then went on to say something like, “When Georgia punts or kicks the ball, we will return it with great return men. On defense we will be a tough front seven to make it hard to run the football, and when they throw it we feel like we can get beyond the offensive line and pressure the quarterback. On offense, we think we can move the ball effectively and protect the quarterback.”
In the next segment of the show, Coach Miles fielded questions from members of the live audience including a regular on the show, the Evil Twin, who asked about a couple of players from his home town of Breaux Bridge - Travin Dural and Quentin Thomas. Miles said that Dural (WR) had a nice practice yesterday and that he wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a very big day sometime soon. As for Thomas (DT), Miles said that he is recovering from a little nick in the lower foot and should be ready to play this weekend.
Before returning to the phone lines, Hawthorn named the defensive play of the game as Jalen Mill's interception at the LSU 29-yard-line when Georgia was driving late in the game. Miles agreed and also pointed out Craig Loston’s interception, saying that any change of possession on a turnover is big.
A little later, Ronald from Patterson asked about one of his hometown payers, Kenny Hilliard, and implored Coach Miles to give him more playing time. Miles said that Hilliard’s time is coming, and that there are some games with his name written all over them.
Clint from Mhire pointed out that Ego Ferguson and Anthony Johnson were on the field for 70+ plays and asked Miles if he was considering pulling redshirts off some of the young defensive lineman to provide depth. Miles stated that he had already pulled the redshirts off Tashawn Bower and Lewis Neal and that they are looking to get Maquedious Bain and Mickey Johnson on the field this week. He also repeated that Quentin Thomas would be back this week.
One of the most interesting questions of the night came from the last caller who asked about the team “going on cruise control” during the 4th quarter and whether that was a reflection of play calling or complacency on the part of the players. Miles said that he didn’t see a pull-back from the players and that he liked the play calling, but that execution needed to be better. He said the team understands that they needed to finish strong and didn’t, and is looking forward to improving in that regard.
In baseball news, according to Les East of the Advocate, LSU right handed pitcher Nate Fury had surgery Wednesday to relieve pain between his shoulder and neck and will be sidelined at least five months. At this point it is uncertain whether he’ll be ready in time to contribute significantly this coming season. His absence would be a big blow for the Tigers considering he’s a senior and one of only four returning pitchers (Fury, Aaron Nola, Kurt McCune and Cody Glenn) who made the trip to Omaha last season. I know I speak for all Tiger Fans when I wish Fury a full and fast recovery.
