Tinker:
After the total collapse and
surrender of the senate republicans over the default showdown with
president Obama. I now feel worst then I felt before about the
Washington DC way of doing things.
The pretense of being a honest duly elected group of men
and women serving the American people is one of the most hypocritical
pictures that I now see in the Executive, Congress, Judiciary, branches
of the American government.
That looks more like a crime deal that does business with all the assets of a corrupt street gang using the criminal enterprise to grab the power of stealing the Americans peoples purse, very skillfully.
Washington DC is a hand and glove place of people running on rules made up by the people in the power club. Media, Government, Big money Business.

The buildings of our forefather that we know as the

criminals who have been selected to be elected in the
Tweedledee/Tweedledum power make right government, that has been taking
advantage of the American people for a long time now.
And we the American people are the chumps to that on going enterprise.

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE MEANING OF 'SETTLED LAW' IS
October 16, 2013
No major legislation has ever been passed like Obamacare -- and I'm using the word "passed" pretty loosely.
It became law without both houses ever voting on the same bill. (Say, is the Constitution considered "settled law"?) Not one Republican voted for it -- and a lot of Democrats immediately wished they hadn't.
Historically, big laws have been enacted with large, bipartisan majorities. In 1935, President Roosevelt enacted Social Security with a 372-33 vote in the House and 77-6 in the Senate.
In 1965, Medicare passed in the Senate 70-24 and the House 307-116, with the vast majority of Democrats supporting this Ponzi scheme and Republicans roughly split.
Reagan's magnificent tax cuts in 1981 -- which Democrats now denounce as if they'd been appalled at the time -- passed with a vote of 89-11 in the Senate and even 323-107 in the hostile Democratic House.
Even Bill Clinton's signature legislative achievement -- Midnight Basketball for the Homeless -- received more bipartisan support than Obamacare.
No law, certainly not one that fundamentally alters the role of the government, has ever been passed like this.
But now, this greased-through, irregular law is relentlessly defended as "settled law" and "the law of the land"! (At least the parts that Obama hasn't unconstitutionally waived -- again, anybody know if the Constitution is "settled law"?)
Wow -- Obamacare sounds fantastic! Not only does Congress refuse to live under it, but its proponents' strongest argument is that it's "settled law!"
The most hilarious part of the "settled law" argument is that it's coming from the left, for whom nothing is ever "settled" until they get their way -- as described in my new book, Never Trust a Liberal Over Three-Especially a Republican

John Chavis knows what a championship defense looks like.
He’s coached a few in his two decades as a defensive coordinator in the SEC, both at LSU and Tennessee.
Chavis knew back in the offseason that it was going to be a work in progress with this group, and that some choppy waters were ahead. But seeing his defense shredded the way it was for eight quarters starting with the second half of the Auburn game, extending through the entire Georgia fiasco and then the first half of the Mississippi State game, was nauseating.
“It was difficult, but I always say, ‘We’re going to live in our hopes, not our fears,” Chavis said.
Those hopes have been rekindled thanks to the promise the No. 6 Tigers have shown defensively in their last six quarters of play. And just like that -- with some youngsters growing up in the secondary, some depth developing up front and Chavis making a few tweaks with his combinations -- LSU heads to Ole Miss on Saturday riding the kind of defensive momentum that has been a staple of this program since Chavis took over the defensive reins in 2009.
“But we can’t think that we’ve arrived,” Chavis said.

I agree with Satya. Ole Miss stood up with A&M until the last minute and they cannot be over-looked. I'm sure Les will drive that home this week. Yes, more improvement on defense, more good stuff on offense. and yes, WIN OUT!

Ole Miss will prove to be quite the test for our defense to back up their claims of improvement. GEAUX TIGERS! Win out!

It’s a game of fours, when LSU heads to Oxford to take on Ole Miss Saturday night.
The Tigers (6-1, 3-1 SEC) will be seeking their fourth straight Magnolia Bowl win over the Rebels, while also pursuing their fourth SEC victory of the season.
OIe Miss, meanwhile, will look to avoid its fourth straight loss in 2013, as well as its fourth straight defeat in the rivalry game, while trying to pick up its fourth total victory of the year.
After a 3-0 start to the season, the Rebels (3-3, 1-3 SEC) have lost three straight contests in conference to Alabama, Auburn, and Texas A&M.
"Obviously, we're not happy with where we are, but we thank God we're not where we used to be,” head coach Hugh Freeze said last week. "The journey continues.”

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
The 6th ranked LSU football team will depart from campus
today at 2 p.m. on its way to take on the Ole Miss Rebels tomorrow
evening. The team will fly into Memphis, Tennessee and spend
the night at the Hotel Memphis, and then tomorrow they’ll depart for
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at 2:50 p.m. The game will be televised by
ESPN2 with a 6:08 kickoff. I will be watching from home and tweeting a
few comments and stats to those of you who follow @DandyDonLSU on Twitter.
The Tigers are coming off of a big 17-6 win last week and are anxious to build upon the defensive success they enjoyed against the Gators, but that may be a bigger challenge than many are expecting. Ole Miss has a much better offense than Florida, and even though they are plagued with injuries they will be a good test for an LSU defense just starting to find its legs. While Florida was a team intent on beating the Tigers with a slow, physical, ball-control type of attack, Ole Miss will run an up-tempo, spread offense that will present a bigger test to LSU's defensive ends with their read-options, and more of a test to the secondary with two dangerous receivers in Donte Moncrief and Laquon Treadwell. And while LSU's offense should be able to pound out an effective running game against a very depleted Rebels' defense, I know that many of you, like myself, will be eager to see whether LSU can pick up where it left off two weeks ago with it's aerial attack. The game shouldn’t be as competitive as LSU-Ole Miss contests traditionally are, but I look for it to say a lot about whether this Tiger team is truly a national title contender. Tomorrow I'll give you my keys to an LSU victory.
Below are my predictions for a few of this weekend’s games. Last week I didn’t do so hot; I went 8-3. On the season my record is 70-13 (.843). Here we go...
LSU 38 Ole Miss 20
Alabama 41 Arkansas 10
Georgia 34 Vanderbilt 24
South Carolina 35, Tennessee 24
Texas A&M 44 Auburn 31
Florida 20 Missouri 17
UL-Lafayette 38 Arkansas State 24 (10/22)
North Texas 35 LA Tech 20
Northwestern State 33 Southeastern LA 30

• LesMiles.net has not yet released a trailer video for tomorrow’s game, but they did release a highlights video and Players of the Week video from last week’s game against Florida which I’ve added to our Media Gallery.
In other news related to LSU football, LSU’s Athletic Department has announced that it will seek to raise prices for the 2014 football season. Here's the press release that they sent out on the matter:
LSU TO SEEK FLEXIBLE PRICING, TRADITION FUND INCREASE FOR FOOTBALL
BATON ROUGE – The LSU Athletic Department will seek to implement a flexible pricing plan for home football games as well as proposing an increase in the Tradition Fund for the first time since 2010 in certain areas of Tiger Stadium beginning next season.
The proposal to raise prices for the 2014 football season will go before the LSU Board of Supervisors on Friday, Oct. 25 and it also includes a plan to increase the Tradition Fund for tickets and parking for the 2015 baseball season. LSU hasn’t proposed an increase in tickets or parking for baseball since 2009.
“This is the first time since 2010 that we have sought a price increase for football,” LSU Vice-Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva said. “This increase is necessary for us to stay competitive at the highest level of collegiate athletics, but also because of the rising costs of doing business on a daily basis.”
The proposal also calls for a six percent increase in season ticket prices from the previous season as well as an increase to the Tradition Fund for reserved parking on campus for both cars and RVs. The proposed parking plan will see 49% of the parking prices remain at its current level. LSU hasn’t proposed an increase in reserved parking on campus for football since 2007.
Under the Tradition Fund proposal for football, no section in the stadium will increase more than $100 and over 11,000 seats will not be subjected to the increase in donation. The plan will also see the pricing structure for Tiger Stadium adjusted to allow for more flexibility in future pricing based on seat location and demand.
As for the flexible pricing plan, the athletic department is seeking approval to price tickets based on opponent and the date of the game.
In baseball, the proposal calls for 2,500 seats (29%) to either have donation levelsreduced or will pay no donation at all.
Reader comments: Hi Scott, I'd just like everybody to know that LSU has climbed back up to #2 in week 7's power ranking.

Highlight Of The Night: UCF erased a 21-point deficit to rally past undefeated Louisville for a 38-35 win.Tags: Louisville, Central Florida
Bortles threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jeff Godfrey with 23 seconds remaining and the Knights stunned the Cardinals with a 38-35 victory on Friday night, ending Louisville's perfect start.
"I said, `Let's get some 2-minute calls ready," Bortles said. "We knew we were going to have to go 2-minute. ... Our offensive line did a great job and our receivers did a great job of getting yards after the catch."
Down 28-7 midway through the third quarter, the Knights (5-1, 2-0 American Athletic Conference) responded with three touchdowns in a 7:22 span. Storm Johnson had a 1-yard TD run and a 20-yard reception for another score, and William Stanback ran 12 yards for the tying TD.
UCF then went in front on Shawn Moffitt's 34-yard field goal with 7:36 remaining.
Louisville (6-1, 2-1) reclaimed the lead on Dominique Brown's 15-yard run with three minutes to go, but the Knights drove 75 yards in 11 plays to take the lead for good on Bortles' TD and then held off the Cardinals' comeback attempt.
Bridgewater made one last desperate heave into the end zone as time expired, but the Heisman Trophy contender was unable to find anyone. The Knights then rushed the field in jubilation as a small gathering of fans in one section chanted "UCF, UCF!"
"What can you say? It was a heck of a game," Knights coach George O'Leary said. "Both teams played their hearts out. That was a great drive and it was a great win in a tough environment.
"Obviously, it's a big win. It's a big win because of the conference. We had great effort and great execution. ... We could have hung our heads, but we got after it."
