Love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMK3R8ALK8s.....Goodnight My Love

From a distant wind she came to me touching me like magic from god, with a pure friendship that I was receiving because of my very wish.

I thought surly since I felt so strongly about love that I was above average and very ready to hold the object of my affections.

Oh my god how wrong I was, because the real truth of deep friendship is in the two way experience from each other love, and not a lonely thing at all.

I can't express the feeling that we felt from of our first kiss between each other, because it was such a pleasant surprise that is still with me today, long after her death.

I learned a lot about her, from her deep friendly feeling for me, and it thought me so much more about love than what I knew before.

She came to me out of the dark lonely night to change my sadness into joy, and I never felt lonely again because of her.

She prayed to stay with her husband and children, but sickness overtook her prayer, and she died as the nurse pulled the plug to her life support. I was cut into feeling pain that shocked me. I was so hurt that I was afraid to go home alone where I once sought safety. My children saw my fear and stay with me every night trying to help me fight off the shocking hurt over her death.

From a distant wind she walked up to kiss me and after a time of living together she had to leave. I was left behind with two boys and a girl, who had my grandchildren, who in turn know me as pawpaw. I am not lonely anymore just still hurt from time to time because I finely realize that everyman and women dies, even if you love them.

I'm still here with a lifetime of memories.

Was that the same LSU defense that played against Georgia? Holy smokes! These guys had a total LSU tiger recall!

Quarterbacks: B-

If this is the worst we’re going to see from Zach Mettenberger all season, LSU is probably in line for something special in 2013. He completed just better than half his passes. A couple incompletions were dropped, but a couple were also just plain missed throws. He also fumbled the ball when LSU was driving into Gators’ territory on the heels of his best throw of the night, a 29-yard back shoulder throw to Jarvis Landry. Having said all that, Mettenberger did not play a terrible game. It was just not up to the high standards he’s set with his play this year.

Running backs: B+

Florida came into this game allowing a ridiculously low 65 yards per game on the ground. Jeremy Hill nearly eclipsed that number in the first half on his way to 121 yards. Hill ran hard, and showed a little bit of the nasty attitude after closing off some of his more physical runs that you want to see in a premier running back. LSU has a special talent in its backfield – there just aren’t many running backs that you’re going to see put together that kind of game against the Gators. Kenny Hilliard appears to be LSU’s No. 2 man at the position and Alfred Blue looks as though he’ll be relegated to special teams from here on out. J.C. Copeland continues to get some looks as a runner, and nearly punched a second touchdown in in the second quarter.

Wide Receivers/Tight Ends: B+

A lot was made before the game about the matchup between LSU’s dynamic duo at wide receiver and Florida’s terrifying trio at defensive back. That talk fizzled on game day, as LSU stuck to its traditional ground and pound approach without relying much on its passing game. In the plays they did have against eachother, LSU’s receivers appear to have won out. Beckham badly beat Loucheiz Purifoy on a 25-yard catch and run late in the first quarter, and Landry made a beauty of a catch on the aforementioned back-shoulder catch, ripping it out of the defenders’ hands and breaking a tackle. But Landry also had a couple of uncharacteristic drops, and this group failed to make the kind of game-changing play that is now expected of it. Bonus points were awarded for some excellent downfield blocking.

Offensive line: A

This was hands down the unit’s best performance of the season. After struggling at times in basically every game this season, the offensive line played four quarters of near flawless football against a stout Gators defensive front. Mettenberger kept his jersey clean and Hill found plenty of green room to roam. Les Miles said after the game he didn’t remember a single instant where Florida penetrated the LSU offensive line to create pressure. This is now the unit’s seventh game working together, and it appears it has finally started to gel.
Defensive line: A

Now that is what an LSU defensive line is supposed to look like. Anthony Johnson lived up to the "Freak” moniker with a lightning-quick sack in the third quarter, Ego Ferguson was disruptive in the middle and defensive ends Jermauria Rasco and Danielle Hunter were in Tyler Murphy’s face for much of the night. Rasco never quite could come up with a sack, but turned in four of LSU’s five quarterback hurries. Hunter used his length to bat down two of Murphy’s passes at the line. It translated into a pressure packed night for Murphy, who was either scrambling for his life or trying to complete passes with LSU defenders hanging off him for much of the night. Kendell Beckwith joined the party late in the game with a sack/strip combo that sealed the game, officially.

Linebackers: B+

There are still some concerning points where LSU’s linebackers can be found lying on the ground with a handful of nothing as the opposing ball carrier is running in the opposite direction, but consider this game a win for a linebacking corps. Lamin Barrow had his best game of the season with 13 tackles, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup (though the breakup should’ve been a gift-wrapped interception). Barrow showed a lot of the explosion that made him so good in his junior season. Kwon Alexander, who again started in place of Tahj Jones, collected seven tackles and was credited for half a tackle for loss. D.J. Welter and Lamar Louis split time at middle linebacker, though neither made any distinguishing plays.

Defensive backs: B+

This is a tough position to grade out, because LSU’s defensive backs didn’t really have to do much against the Florida offense that looked as though it absolutely refused to throw the ball downfield. Florida only threw for 129 yards, and entered the fourth quarter with only 69 passing yards. It’s hard to tell whether that was a product of LSU’s improvement in coverage, or if it was because of the inexperience at quarterback for the Gators. There looked to be a number of receivers open at times that a more experienced quarterback would’ve found, matchups that a more experienced quarterback would’ve exploited. One encouraging sign was a return of the LSU defensive backs to the pressure plan. The Tigers ran a couple different blitzes off the edge with its corners, getting one sack from Jalen Mills and another from Micah Eugene. Craig Loston and Corey Thompson started at safety, but didn’t make any distinguishing plays.

Special teams: B

It was a quiet game on this front, and that can usually be taken as good news. The Mayans probably could’ve based their calendar off the regularity of Jamie Keehn shanked punts. He missed another one badly against Florida, and while it didn’t hurt LSU in this game it might come back to haunt it at some point this season, but his other two punts were downed inside the 20. Colby Delahoussaye stayed perfect on the year with a 31-yarder in the fourth quarter to make it a two-possession game. Alfred Blue might not be getting much work on offense these days, but he’s a beast on special teams. Bonus points for the kickoff team enjoying what they do so much – watch those guys get jacked up the next time you’re at a game.

Chief Peace Pipe Picklehead:

If I was not such a man, I would cry in sadness for these LSU football players who fell before the LSU football fans over failing to stop the other team in Athens Ga..

Now these selfsame LSU football players stood up to the challenge rising to stop the Florida gators from scoring a single touchdown in LSU Tiger Stadium. If I was not such a man, I would cry in happiness for their success.

But alas I am such a man who don't cry like that, so I'll just smile instead and drink a beer to cheer for these 2013 LSU fighting tigers football players, who proudly showed us all that they have what it takes to now carry the LSU tiger mantle.

Victory is what they achieved, because this LSU tiger defense is coming around after five football games into this 2013 college football season.
Now I can see again;

"THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY"

LSU 17 vs Florida 6 - final score.
----------------
THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY
by Gen. George S. Patton, Jr.

Through the travail of the ages,
Midst the pomp and toil of war,
Have I fought and strove and perished
Countless times upon this star.

In the form of many people
In all panoplies of time
Have I seen the luring vision
Of the Victory Maid, sublime.

I have battled for fresh mammoth,
I have warred for pastures new,
I have listed to the whispers
When the race trek instinct grew.

I have known the call to battle
In each changeless changing shape
From the high souled voice of conscience
To the beastly lust for rape.

I have sinned and I have suffered,
Played the hero and the knave;
Fought for belly, shame, or country,
And for each have found a grave.

I cannot name my battles
For the visions are not clear,
Yet, I see the twisted faces
And I feel the rending spear.

So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

Defense shines as No. 10 LSU beats No. 17 Florida

Associated Press
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Les Miles repeatedly dismissed the notion that LSU's defense was as vulnerable as it had looked recently.

For now, at least, he is a coach validated.

The Tigers were in Florida quarterback Tyler Murphy's face all game, batting down passes, racking up sacks and keeping their opponent out of the end zone for the first time all season.

Maisel: LSU's Style Is Whatever It Takes

LSU, which proved capable of surviving high-scoring shootouts this season, played old-school SEC football, beating Florida at its own game, writes Ivan Maisel. Story
Jeremy Hill did his part with 121 yards on 19 carries, and No. 10 LSU celebrated a vintage victory in Death Valley, 17-6 over No. 17 Florida on Saturday.

"The more time we are getting together with this defense, the better we are becoming," said defensive end Jermauria Rasco, who assisted on one of LSU's eight tackles behind the line of scrimmage. "It is just taking some time and I think the evidence is there now."

LSU, which had been scoring 45.5 points per game, had a much harder time finding the end zone against a Florida defense rated among the nation's best, but 1-yard touchdown runs by fullback J.C. Copeland and freshman reserve quarterback Anthony Jennings turned out to be more than enough for the Tigers (6-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference).

Murphy was 15-of-27 passing for 115 yards for the Gators (4-2, 3-1), who led 3-0 early, but managed just one more field goal on the day.

Murphy was sacked four times, one apiece for safety Micah Eugene, defensive tackle Anthony Johnson, cornerback Jalen Mills and linebacker Kendell Beckwith. Murphy was nearly intercepted three times, but LSU defensive backs dropped each of those chances.

LSU's defense "had too many free runners at the quarterback," Florida coach Will Muschamp said. "My initial thoughts are there was too much pressure. We've got to protect (Murphy) better."
Murphy blamed himself.

"I really have to work on getting rid of the ball quicker," he said.

The Tigers had eight defensive players selected in last spring's NFL draft, forcing coordinator John Chavis to remake his unit with a lot of youth and inexperience. It showed two weeks earlier in a 44-41 loss at Georgia, and again when the Tigers allowed 23 points in the first half of last week's victory at Mississippi State.

But LSU allowed only a field goal in the second half a week ago, a promising sign for a unit that has now gone six quarters without allowing a touchdown.

"Our guys did a tremendous job and I'm proud and it was fun watching them play again," Chavis said. "For the last two weeks we have focused on one simple thing: Do your job; count on the guy beside you; count on the guy behind you; and count on the guy in front of you."

LSU never seemed truly threatened, but Florida made it a one possession game on Francisco Velez's second field goal, a 27-yarder that cut it to 14-6 with 12:11 to go.

The Tigers responded by going to Hill, who carried four times for 45 yards -- including a gain of 26 yards to the Florida 19 -- to set up Colby Delahoussaye's 31-yard field goal with 7:58 left.

"We can win all different types of games," Hill said. "We can win shootouts or we can win tough, physical ground-it-out kind of games."

The sequence left Muschamp frustrated with his normally dominant defense.

"You can call whatever defense you want to call, kids have got to get off blocks and make a play," Muschamp said. "Our guys have got to accept that."

Needing two scores, Florida started to gamble.

On fourth-and-5 from the Gators 30, punter Kyle Christy converted a fake, hitting Demarcus Robinson over the middle for a 14-yard gain. Murphy then converted a fourth-and-9 with a 15-yard pass to Ahmad Fulwood at the LSU 20.

That's when the Tigers' defense clamped down and sealed the game.

First came a sack on a blitz by Mills for a loss of 12 yards, which forced a desperate fourth-and-27. Beckwith's sack then gave the ball back to the Tigers for good.

"They are maturing and I think they understand what they are supposed to do," Miles said of his defense. "I just think it's maturity."

Florida entered the game giving up averages of only 217 yards and 12.2 points per game.
LSU gained 200 yards and scored 14 points in the first half.

After punting on their opening drive, the Tigers' next three series produced two touchdowns and could have resulted in a third score if Zach Mettenberger did not lose his handle on the ball without being hit for a lost fumble on the Florida 27.

Both scoring drives were helped by Florida penalties and gave LSU a 14-3 halftime lead.
Mettenberger finished with 152 yards on 9-of-17 passing, hitting Jarvis Landry four times for 58 yards and Odell Beckham Jr. twice for 47 yards.
