unfairly abused by big Business and Banks. The American people always kinder gave the benefit of the dough to the TV networks people running television. “Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”: FDR’s First Inaugural Address
Franklin D. Roosevelt had campaigned against Herbert Hoover in the 1932 presidential election by saying as little as possible about what he might do if elected. Through even the closest working relationships, none of the president-elect’s most intimate associates felt they knew him well, with the exception perhaps of his wife, Eleanor. The affable, witty Roosevelt used his great personal charm to keep most people at a distance. In campaign speeches, he favored a buoyant, optimistic, gently paternal tone spiced with humor. But his first inaugural address took on an unusually solemn, religious quality. And for good reason—by 1933 the depression had reached its depth. Roosevelt’s first inaugural address outlined in broad terms how he hoped to govern and reminded Americans that the nation’s “common difficulties” concerned “only material things.”Please note that the audio is an excerpt from the full address.
Listen to Audio:
-----------
"I am certain that my fellow Americans expect that on my induction into the Presidency I will address them with a candor and a decision which the present situation of our people impel. This is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Nor need we shrink from honestly facing conditions in our country today. This great Nation will endure as it has endured, will revive and will prosper. So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.
In such a spirit on my part and on yours we face our common difficulties. They concern, thank God, only material things. Values have shrunken to fantastic levels; taxes have risen; our ability to pay has fallen; government of all kinds is faced by serious curtailment of income; the means of exchange are frozen in the currents of trade; the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side; farmers find no markets for their produce; the savings of many years in thousands of families are gone.
More important, a host of unemployed citizens face the grim problem of existence, and an equally great number toil with little return. Only a foolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment."

Now the image of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, is the picture
of three disgraced politicians that just never cared enough for the
American people national interest and global safety. That they used the
Washington DC/News Media American politic to get more control of the
federal government political power that they wanted, so what you see is
what you get.
The 2013 United States Senate under Harry Reid and the Democrats party now only need a 51% majority vote.
I am afraid that the Washington DC federal government and American News Media social bubble is very much real and alive indeed. The 2013 United States Senate under Harry Reid and the Democrats party now only need a 51% majority vote.
Good luck America?

LIBERALS TALK RACE AND CRIME - AND HILARITY ENSUES!
December 4, 2013
On a break from pretending to believe they live in a country
bristling with violent white racists, the Non-Fox Media have been trying
to debunk stories about the "Knockout Game," in which young black males
approach random strangers and try to knock them out with one punch.
The left's leading line of defense against the Knockout Game is to argue that young black males have always been violent, so, hey, this is nothing new.
You're welcome, black America!
In Slate, Emma Roller wearily recounted other episodes of black-on-white violence in order to announce: "The 'Knockout Game' is a myth."
Reminiscing about the flash mobs that shook many parts of the country a few years ago, Roller wrote: "I remember the summer of 2011, a story about a crowd of (black) teenagers at the Wisconsin State Fair randomly attacking fairgoers went viral as a sign of a burgeoning race war."
So you see, stupid right-wingers, young black males have always been violent, so what's the big deal about the Knockout Game? Your honor, my client's not a killer; he's a serial killer.
MSNBC's Chris Hayes reached for a different example of monstrous black-on-white violence in order to dispute that the Knockout Game is anything new.
Looking like a translator for the deaf with all the air quotes he had to make for "supposed" "trend" and "Knockout Game," Hayes compared it to what he called the fake trend of "wilding" after a mob of black youths violently attacked and raped a white woman jogging in New York's Central Park in 1989. According to Hayes, "there never was such a thing" as wilding.
Whether the boys who were convicted of the crime did it or, as liberals now claim, a man already sentenced to life in prison did it, the Central Park jogger was brutally raped and nearly murdered by either one or several young black men. (They all did it -- see Chapter 13 of my book "Demonic.") Read More »

LSU will spend the holidays in sunny Tampa, Fla., for the first time in 25 years.
The Tigers will play Iowa in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day, the school announced Sunday night confirming an earlier report from The Advocate.
The Outback Bowl kickoff is set for noon Jan. 1 at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. LSU will arrive at the bowl site Dec. 26 and will have its first bowl practice Dec. 16.
“I think our guys will enjoy a time in a place that’s a destination in and of itself in Tampa,” LSU coach Les Miles said. “These Tigers are looking forward to coming.”
It will be LSU’s second appearance in the Outback Bowl and first since losing to Syracuse following the 1988 season.
The Tigers will start true freshman backup quarterback Anthony Jennings in the bowl, Miles confirmed Sunday night. Jennings will make his first career start in place of Zach Mettenberger.
Mettenberger suffered a season-ending knee injury in the regular season finale against Arkansas and is expected to rehab in Baton Rouge and “be around” the team during bowl practice,” Miles said. He may even travel with the squad to Tampa.
No. 14 LSU (9-3), 5-3) is just the second SEC Western Division team invited to the Outback Bowl in the previous 16 years. The Outback shares the third pick, after the BCS and Capital One Bowl, of SEC teams with the Cotton Bowl but gets first preference for SEC Eastern Division teams.

LSU to face Big 10's Iowa Hawkeyes in Outback Bowl

The greatest opportunity for LSU playing in the Tampa Bay Outback Bowl against Iowa is to further help QB Jennings development. Since Jennings never received much playing time in a real college football game before the Arkansas 99 yard come from behind tiger march to victory
I also hope that this Bowl game will further help the LSU coaching staff to better develop the LSU offensive and defensive lineman explosion off the football. LSU had a big line but never showed the kind of pushing ability that a good lineman should execute with.
I hope that the extra football practice time helps make Les Miles a more successful college head coach. I am glad that we are playing Iowa because I feel like that will be a college football team that we can beat, I truly don't feel confident against teams like Baylor, Oklahoma State, Missouri.

Major downgrade for LSU. Tampa is a seedy locale, the bowl game is played in the middle of the morning, and Iowa is not a good opponent compared to what LSU would have faced in the Cotton Bowl. Yawn. At least you can enjoy all the bloomin onion and shrimp on the barbie you can handle.

1. Should be a good game if your new QB plays well. Wish we could play you at full strength. Have heard that Jennings has potential and will have three weeks to prepare.
2. Don't sell this Iowa team short. I understand we don't carry the cache of other bigger brand schools, but our team is playing well and could very well take LSU's best shot and win convincingly (don't laugh too hard at that one please).
3. In particular our defense has really come on at the end of the year, limiting Michigan to 158 yards of offense in our game against them. We turned the ball over four times to keep it close, but make no mistake, you guys would crush Michigan as they just really aren't that good and you should get a better game from the Hawks (I hope).
4. Most Iowa fans were hoping to face Texas A&M due to the exposure Manziel would generate. We understand you guys are a quality program. Since it's been nearly ten years since we last played, at least the matchup isn't stale. Definitely should be good tailgating at least.
5. This is an Iowa team that is young and improving, with what I'm predicting will be a BCS bowl level team next year. I'll write more about the specifics of our team as we get closer to the game. Keys to know about at this point are three of the best LBs in the nation and a jr. LT that could enter the draft this spring.
6. Iowa is physical, balanced and limits penalties. They are a much better team now than they were to start the season and are likely a legit top 20 team that just lost to too many quality opponents along the way to be ranked (2 BCS qualfiers and Wisconsin). The Northern Illinois game to start the season really isn't relevant at this point in the season, but still counts against us obviously.
7. Hope you guys can look past the disappointment of the matchup to have some good discussion these next few weeks. Have really enjoyed the LSU fans we've run into the past several years. Should be a great time in Tampa.
