Miles a Top 5 coach in the country

Ranking the top college football coaches is no easy task as some conferences are tougher than others making it an uneven playing field across the national landscape.

CBSSports.com took on the task of ranking the Top 25 coaches in the Power 5 conferences and LSU’s Les Miles came in at No. 4 with Nick Saban sitting at the top followed by Urban Meyer and Bob Stoops.

On Miles, CBSSports.com writes, “Do I think Miles is a bit overrated here? Yes, yes I do. If he wasn't the cartoon character that is Les Miles, he'd no doubt drop a notch or two, but you know what? He's still been an excellent coach throughout his career. He helped reverse Oklahoma State's fortunes before taking over at LSU, and since going to Baton Rouge, he's won 78 percent of his games. One of those games was a BCS National Championship Game in 2007 (one of the 22 percent he lost was a BCS title game in 2011). The Mad Hatter has been both mad and successful.”

Miles has an overall record of 103-29 in his 10 years at LSU. He was AP National Coach of the Year in 2011 and has won two SEC titles while in Baton Rouge.

Derrick DrBass Richard: No talent alone help him look good with better coaching we would have what counts da most championships y'all settling for second when we have da talent to be first so I say no
-------
Donnie D'Aquin: I totally agree. His record speaks for itself. The most underated and most unappreciated in the NCAA too!
-------
Andrew Cawthon: Love me some mad hater !!!
QB is a issue !!!!

--------
Christopher Scott Mayes: The man has won 75% of his games, several SEC championships, a national championship, has yet to have a losing season and most importantly runs a clean program. Yeah, he's a terrible coach ( sarcasm).
--------
Thomas Williams: Can you tell me about another big time SEC football program without a good efficient QB playing on their starting 11 almost every year?
