The odds of a Cruz “comeback” appear to be slimming, with more and more voters abandoning him and switching to Donald Trump or Ben Carson. The beneficiary of this, of course, is Marco Rubio, who is likely to be the 2nd place finisher in South Carolina.

If Cruz cannot capture the 2nd place position in South Carolina, analysts figure his campaign is finished.

Why?

It comes down to donations.

The donors will not want to fund a hopeless effort, and the map gets more and more grim for the Texan as the calendar moves further along.

Cruz should ideally do well in S. Carolina, but the state is doing poorly for him. He has spent a fortune to drive up the vote, but unlike Iowa, the state is not a caucus. In Nevada, which is a caucus, Cruz has very little to win, as the state heavily favors Donald Trump.

They should all bow out gracefully, stop damaging each other and the party, and get on the inevitable Trump train. It's time we start hammering on the Dems. America cannot afford another Democrat president - we've got a LOT of damage to undo. Trump has his work cut out for him!

Natural born means at least one parent is a citizen at the time of your birth. That's all.
Trust me when I say I think Cruz is scary!
But Trump's campaign managers came up with that red herring.
