Thomas Williams, Dear America please watch who you elect into the U.S. Senate, these people are dirt. Why are you sending people like Kane that makes us feel dirty from just listening to their filthy words and degenerating characters?

Debra Stevenson, As usual, Congress stumbles in with some half-baked ideas that no one can agree to support. The Dems spent the Clinton years and the Obama years dismantling the military - and they have done a fine job of it; now all of Congress needs to pipe down and let the military tell Congress what is needed and then Congress can just approve it and then get back to the budget before another decade goes by.

Robin Lee Rodgers, Grindstaff And you think the president is knowledgeable and smart enough to make those decisions. No thanks. Trump has too many missing screws. It's scary he has the power to do nukes. How about letting other countries fight some of the wars instead of our soldiers always doing it. Our military is spread too thin and is both mentally and ph6sically exhausted from constant deployments. Just look at the mistakes the navy has made recently and how our soldiers are getting killed. When is enough enough? Served 22 years and we are no better today than 20 years ago.

Linda Palmer, Very bad idea to take away input from Congress, who at least theoretically are accountable to the American people who have elected them.
