Sally just told you. "Someone stole my bike!"
So you will ask Sally. "When." Sally answers."I don't know"
So you ask Sally. "Where did you remember leaving your bike last" Sally answers. "I can't remember cuz that was too long ago."
So you ask her. "How long ago?" Sally. "35 years."
"Sally goes on to tell you just how much she has suffered from losing her favorite bicycle to that shadow thief, like that. How that grievance has tortured her over the years.
The trauma and sorrow that she keeps feeling over losing her wonderful brand new bike from back in High Scool.
That she even has a terrible time recalling her sorrow and pain now today just from talking about losing her beloved bike like that."
That you are being a very insensitive monster for even asking her for the Who, What, When, Where and How, of the detail and facts of that theft of her favorite brand new bike back in High Scool."
That she doesn't want to make the theft of her wonderful bike public and that if you expose her privet confidence that she is having with you now, you are just another bad person who she will stop talking to."
Then you say. "Well, how can I help you?" Sally says she is remembering that it was Johnny Smith who stole her bike 35 years ago. The same Johnny Smith who is being voted on to this country's Supreme Court."
That is why she is speaking up now, that Johnny should not be selected into the Supreme Court because he is really a bike thief, take my word for it."
