  • Thomas Williams - So live, that when thy summons comes to join
    The innumerable caravan which moves
To the pale realms of shade, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams...Thanatopsis

  • Thomas Williams - "So live when thy Summons comes to join that innumerable caravan, where each shall take his place in the silent halls of death, go not like a quarry slave at night, scourged to his dungeon. But, approach thy grave with an unfaltering trust Like one who wraps his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams." ... I took the liberty to rearrange his words to better understand them because I keep living our everyday delights with all the gratitude and appreciation that is in me - because fear is so damn destructive to our better feelings I'm not going to help create a tornado that is not really there, you know what I mean. "laissez les bon temps rouler" Cajun French that says, let the good times roll.
