And even though Hurricanes tried to wash us away while the poor without good credit society pushed us around, we had each other and Church for relief and refuge. After losing the electuary and city services there after 1947, Betsy, Camille, Katrina, and I went to St Roch Church beside St Rock Park, New Orleans. We always had Church and the kind charity from the neighbors. We were hurt in many ways because of Hurricanes but not by the spirit and attitude of our friends.
