Are there things in life worse than death because losing all of our favorite things seems like it?

 Tinker

Wildfires are still burning around the California Los Angeles Hills, where people built homes to live in under the sun, looking like a neighborhood in paradise. You can see the different shades of green that create a forest of trees and sunbeams touching eliminating flowers while feeling the cool breeze of fresh air.

Wildfires start burning every year around the southern California foothills and mountains this time of year but are never left to destroy the population's entire neighborhoods lived in for over a hundred years.

The possessions people keep in their homes just to look at and be with and not use are there just because they like them. Their favorite things could be anything they chose, like my Marlin 30-30 rifle with a gold trigger I bought in Utah that I always wanted. Not an expensive rifle costing 400.00 dollars in 1996 Utah that sells for over $1000 now but just to have, hold, and look at. I never shot it, even though I am an expert out of the military. No, my shooting days are in the past but remove once and a while from the carrying case cleaning it up to polish it. And let it be with me in my home.

What would I do if I lost that Rifle in a fire with all of my other unreplaceable things, and how would I feel after that?

Are there things in life worse than death because losing all of our favorite things seems like it?
