This Thanksgiving is becoming a great memory in real time for me with my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild in another state. Living this long with the help of modern medicine and friends brought me here today, on November 27, Thanksgiving Day # 85, after my birth in 1940.
The woman who took a shine to me, making all of this good company for me, passed away in 2002, and made sure I would never feel alone. She knew all about my passions and fears, and would quickly try to help when she could, a hot-natured kind woman.
I truly hope we can be with one another again after my death, but until then, my daughter is a great cook, and I am ready for Thanksgiving Dinner.
