God! The voices on television, where I'm looking for information, are not telling the truth. But going over the same TV narrative lies in the same way for too long now. The TV Network members are not about to tell the truth, talking to themselves or anyone else. So this morning, I don't have anyone to talk to. My family members are still sleeping.
But I really don't think they want to talk about the truth either.
The truth bothers everybody one way or the other; the only person I can talk to now about the truth is me.

On Episode 74 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, former IRS Special Agent Joseph Banister traces what he believes is the origin of the modern income tax system.
Banister points to 1913, the year of the Federal Reserve Act and the 16th Amendment arguing the foundation of income tax began under questionable circumstances. He claims the amendment was never properly ratified and says later Supreme Court rulings confirmed it did not expand federal taxing authority.
He goes on to describe how, over time, the system evolved through government policy, wartime funding efforts, and the introduction of paycheck withholding, eventually becoming normalized across generations.
Lara challenges him directly, pressing on the risks, consequences, and what this could mean for everyday Americans.
