The recent Maryland fiasco, in which over 500,000 ballots had to be reissued due to a printing error listing the wrong parties, highlights how easily our system can be compromised. We cannot afford these reckless mistakes that erode public trust.

As the only major nation relying so heavily on mail-in ballots, America stands uniquely exposed to fraud and manipulation. President Trump rightly calls out Senate Majority Leader John Thune for failing to push the critical SAVE America Act, which would safeguard our votes with basic protections, such as voter ID and citizenship verification.

Republicans must act decisively now to secure our elections before 2026. Strong leadership on this issue is essential to protect the will of the American people and prevent another stolen outcome. Our democracy demands nothing less."
