I wonder about luck.

 Thomas Williams

I wonder about luck. And how some people are luckier than others all through my lifetime, I've observed this, and I have had no answer. Until recently, I heard this preacher say that Jesus said. “The meek would inherit the Earth.” Those who understand that vanity is one of the worst sins. Learning about Lucifer, enormous vanity filled him with pride, thinking he was equal to God himself, which turned Lucifer against God, leading to his soul's destruction. That pride becomes a sin, tempting other influential people from believing in God.
Seeing the value in poor people of this world doing hard work, counteracting evil, unaware that they were chosen for salvation by the grace of God, watching them toil, suffer, and still believe in Jesus, teaching faith, hope, and charity, counteract evil. Oh, I said to myself. I want to be chosen for salvation, too.
Today is June 6, 2026, remembering when the Allies fighting the Germans landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, determined to stop Hitler's war machine and save this world's liberty for generations yet unborn. Who were those men and women? People like you and me.
