I don't know what the leaders in America thought giving Europe money after they were ok was good politics, deceiving the American people about that fact, but that's what they did until recently, electing the disruptor President Trump. They have maintained a socialist way of life by not spending their money on military defense because America was their deterrent, and they don't really care about America's welfare at all.
