Valentine had selected LSU over Miami before he signed a national letter of intent in February. But his status remained uncertain until he recently scored a 19 on the ACT. "When I got my score I was so excited," said Valentine, a senior at Champagnat Catholic. "This was the last big hurdle for me. Now I can focus on achieving my dream, playing at LSU.
