You came back!

Tinker

You came back, you came back to me, where have you been? I thought that I lost you somehow and we were not friends anymore. And now you came back.
When that last desperate # 3 ranked Ole Miss pass floater into the #24 ranked waiting arms of S Ronald Martin our LSU Fighting Tigers football team made us all winners again. We were elated lifting our Wife’s in happiness and clapping our hand in tribute, yelling with great feeling of exaltation. To be with you and to hold you in our person once more that seems just too much to be true.
I thought that you left me, but I was wrong. Cannon was here again along with John's and Davis, the rest. We are back together again and that is all that madders now. The people who we loved and were going to football games in LSU Tiger Stadium with came back in spirit, sitting and cheering right here beside us once again.
You came back!

LSU hands No. 3 Ole Miss first loss

ATON ROUGE, La. -- It was a game for the ages -- the 1950s.
On a night when LSU honored Billy Cannon for his iconic 89-yard punt return in 1959 that beat No. 3 Ole Miss 7-3 on Halloween night, LSU and Ole Miss stepped back in time Saturday night before a raucousTiger Stadium crowd of 102,321.

The No. 24 Tigers came away with a black-and-blue 10-7 victory over the previously unbeaten and third-ranked Rebels.

"That was a middle-1970s drive," said LSU coach Les Miles, who orchestrates a throwback, offensive philosophy featuring a dominant offensive line that can wear down opponents in the fourth quarter. "How many runs in a row was that (12)? It was physical, pounding, really good calls. It's a physical offensive line coming after you. Those guys up front are getting better."
