Don't resist when a police officer wants to places you under arrest for breaking the law. The policeman have a gun to enforce the law. He is a Lawman and if you break the Law you go up against him.
When the police wants to arrest you for breaking the law cooperate and take your chances in court. Because you are not going to stay very healthy trying to argue with a police office. Whatever the crime was that doesn't matter to a lawman, because he is going to arrest you anyway.
