In other news, USA Today published its annual list of college football assistant coaches’ salaries, and for the second year in a row it shows that LSU's combined assistant staff is the highest paid in the nation. The LSU staff’s combined salary is $5,499,269, while Alabama’s is second highest at $5,213,400. With a salary of $1,300,300 each, defensive coordinator John Chavis and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron of LSU are third and fourth on the list, behind defensive coordinators Bud Foster of Virginia Tech ($1,356,000) and Kirby Smart of Alabama ($1,350,000). Runnings backs coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson is third on the LSU staff at $665,967, followed by defensive line coach Brick Haley at $465,967, offensive line coach Jeff Grimes at $377,500, special teams coach Bradley Dale Peveto at $360,000, wide receiver coach Adam Henry at $349,634, defensive backs coach Corey Raymond and tight ends coach Steve Ensminger at $325,967.
