It is not the fault of our stats, or guns, but within ourselves that leads us to a better place to live. Quote: Thomas Williams

Watching President Obama’s BBC interview earlier today, I share his frustration about the lack of common sense when it comes to passing sensible gun legislation in the US. To those of us who grew up with very limited (or no) access to firearms, their omnipresence in US society seems both excessive and absurd.

The Pew Research Center estimates that Americans own somewhere between 270 and 310 millions guns, putting the number of guns per one hundred people at a staggering 88 – more than any other country in the world. What’s puzzling is that household gun ownership has been consistently declining over the decades, which means that fewer people own more guns, many more guns. Why is America armed to its teeth?

Guns should require periodic proficiency licenses just like driver licenses for cars

Live by the Sword of lies, and liars. So then die by the Sword of Justice, and Truth. And may God have mercy on your soul.

And enforce better mental health laws and use common sense to not allow the mentally disturbed people lose in a normal society. It is not the fault of our stats, or guns, but within ourselves that leads us to a better place to live.

The US is being brainwashed by all these 'random' shootings.  It's just another ploy by our 'government' to take more of our freedoms away.

Outlawing guns will not keep them out of the hands of criminals, just like the war on drugs has not kept drug addicts away from getting drugs.
