The Syrian refugee debate has become a national embarrassment. It begins with a president, desperate to deflect attention from the collapse of his foreign policy, retreating to his one safe zone — ad hominem attacks on critics, this time for lack of compassion toward Syrian widows and orphans.

This, without a glimmer of acknowledgment of his own responsibility for these unfortunate souls becoming widowed and orphaned, displaced and homeless, in the first place. A quarter-million deaths ago, when Bashar al-Assad began making war on his own people, he unleashed his air force and helicopters. They dropped high explosives, nail-filled barrel bombs and even chemical weapons on helpless civilians. President Obama lifted not a finger.

Thomas Williams: Well that's the 64 thousand dollar question Mr. Krauthammer? “Where are the others?” And it does also seem to me that our country's population should expect to get the best of the running dog politicians who should now be taken their political profession seriously. And would deeply want to rise to the top of the heap to lead the American people of the United States of America, who truly need the best leaders like never before.

Donald Trump is leading the political polls all because the American people doesn't really want the people who are running the News Media anymore. The more the media criticizes Trump the higher Trump advances in the polls.

The American people really do not like the way that the Washington DC establishment has run this country's US Government. So Donald Trump is a shining example of just how much that the American people doesn't like the media, and the people running Washington DC.

So where are the true political leaders working in Washington DC when we need them the most?

Krankheit Krauthammer's advice would have resulted in an earlier triumph - either for Al Qaeda or ISIS. Nothing like getting advise on how to get out of a cul-de-sac from a "trou de cul"like Krauthammer.
