Thomas Williams ·

Why all the tears for Les Miles?

I guess on second thought this LSU board of supervisors is not far removed from all the rest of the LSU board of supervisors. Who could not even hire another good head football coach back throughout LSU football history before Nick Saban to help advance the LSU football program into a proud efficient first class operation that everyone could admire, and enjoy.

Instead of this group of people who keep given away the LSU athletic department money just because the LSU coaching staff are good people that do not do their job that they are paid to do.

Who in the world runs their daily business like that?

If the sports reporter writing these sports new story's doesn’t finish their column on time, for the newspaper deadlines, you would be fired no matter how good of a person you are. So please tell me how the people running LSU can still pay Les Miles and his coaching staff top dollar after losing to Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. And keep watching the LSU fighting tiger football team get pushed off the football field before a national televised audience for three straight weekends.

Why should LSU roll over and play dead to these SEC teams because Les Miles is a good person.

And how in the world can these bleeding heart crying LSU fans truly be in love with a LSU football coach and staff who is not doing his job?

Rabalais: LSU-Michigan matchup in Citrus Bowl is possible, but much is still up in the air

The clouded November ending to LSU’s regular season could give way to a sunny January finish........Maybe.

Advocate staff photo by TRAVIS SPRADLING -- LSU head coach Les Miles shouts on the sideline in the second half of the LSU-Texas A&M football game in Baton Rouge, Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015. LSU won, 19-7.

Jonathan Gorman, a scout for the Citrus Bowl, told some media members waiting to head into LSU’s locker room after Saturday’s 19-7 win over Texas A&M that his bowl game was a strong consideration for the Tigers with a potential matchup against Michigan.

The name Michigan is something of a holy grail for LSU football. The Tigers and Wolverines have never met on the gridiron.

And as long as devoted Michigan man Les Miles is coaching LSU, that isn’t going to happen. In the regular season.

Know what you mean Larry. Don't think I haven't been disappointed with the losses to Bama, ect., but like you I have the gift of hindsight as far as play calling goes and its 20-20. For the money paid, Les needs to let go of the dedication he feels towards his assistant coaches (especially Cameron), b/c in the end it may well cost a very good coach His job. My main concern in all this are the BS lies those two stooge sports writers, Rabalais and Dellenger spread which hurt LSU more than Miles! Recruiting will continue to be in jeopardy until an official announcement on LSU's long term support of Miles comes out. But don't wait on that jerk Alleva to do that.

Eric Gormsen: Disregarding comments about the reporters and the athletic director, they would not be an issue today if the head coaches overall performance was satisfactory in "all" important aspects of the football program.

The facts speak for themselves and the "Miles" offense has been an obvious failure for 9 of the 11 years that he has been head coach. Coach Cameron was not here those previous years of failure with the offense, so it is not fair to place all of the blame on him. Coach Cameron has been an excellent soldier and a very loyal friend to Coach Miles. This is the only type of OC Miles wishes to bring aboard, one that will work within the offense that he prefers to run. Now what decent Offensive Coordinator with any kind of ambition wants to come into a situation where he cannot install his own offensive strategy and schemes?

Lsu vs Michigan in Citrus = A second rate bowl with a second rate coach against a currently second rate opponent. Wow. I think I'll pass. See you guys at spring practice when we begin our 'Want' for another 9 win season.
