If LSU had a real Head Coach who knew what he was doing those same close LSU football game over the years, would have not been that way at all.

Who knew Les Miles is the SEC king of close games?

Who's the best SEC football coach in games decided by one score?

CBS Sports' Jon Solomon, researching all college coaches who have been involved in at least 25 one score games, determined that LSU's Les Miles has the best career winning percentage in such games in the SEC.

Six SEC coaches have coached in at least 25 games in their careers including jobs before their current one.

Miles has a winning percentage of 64.8 (46-25) in one score games, including 39-18 (68.4) in 11 seasons with the Tigers.

His 64.8 ranks him in the SEC ahead of Mississippi State's Dan Mullen (64 percent), Alabama's Nick Saban (59.9), Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin (58.3) Tennessee's Butch Jones (50.0) and Arkansas' Bret Bielema (49.0).

Miles also ranks fifth nationally.

Yes! Les Miles is the King of close college football games. Because he can't coach and that keeps making everything much harder for a good football team with good player to win. If LSU had a real Head Coach who knew what he was doing those same close LSU football game over the years, would have not been that way at all.

So many so called "experts" who probably have never played a down of football. What in the heck does it mean to "open the offense up" ? Miles would have to be an idiot to make Anthony Jennings throw it a lot in clutch time. You can criticize his qb development all you want. But I hate clueless "experts" who have accomplished zilch in the footballsphere and criticize a great coach when they are just regurgitating what ecru other talentless "expert" is saying.

" Part of the reason Miles might be involved in so many close games is his reluctance to pass the ball in the fourth quarter."

That's right Ron. Turn a positive into a negative.

Ron can't help it. He's going to find a way to take a shot at Les every article he writes
