T.W. - My friends drove over and pick me up to buy take-out french fries in New Orleans. We were used to homemade potatoes back in the 1940-50s, and how these take out french fries were strange-looking to me.
Frankly, I didn't like them because I like my mother's homemade fries better.
Over the years, I have now developed a taste for McDonald's french fries how they taste very-good. Hahaha...lol.
That was so very long ago to me now. How I went to a place called Martin Bros Restaurant in New Orleans and bought a potato Po-Boy for $0.15, and how I couldn't get enough.
