One of the happiest LSU Family memory of a lifetime.

 Bunnie Cannon - Facebook -

It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 years since he passed away. Much has happened in those 5 years. Many of the things he spoke about have come true…most of you know him as the LSU Football #20. Or he may have been your orthodontist. He still has fans all over the country. And no matter where I go I run into people who have a story about him. He was human. He had his faults many of the same ones that I have oddly enough. But he was loyal to his friends and family, he was so generous that he would give you the shirt off his back and did on many occasions. He was a lifelong learner and a lover of history. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was a character and you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. Everyone who really knew him loved him. And those that didn’t really didn’t know him. Many don’t know what he did after football or the infamous 1980s. But he went on to do great work at Angola where he was for 20 years. I won’t stop until we make the movie about who you really were until we get a national award in your name. And until I can find the proper place for your memorabilia so we can keep your collection together and let people see it. He loved LSU, the state of Louisiana, and its people. And everything I do is to help those three things and further your legacy. And hopefully, do some good along the way. Love you, padre!

"The Man" Billy Cannon LSUs all time RB Heisman Trophy winner. We were crowded around the kitchen table Radio because LSU Tiger Stadium was sold out as two undefeated SEC powers Ole Miss vs LSU played a Milestone College football game. 1959 Halloween night was a steady drizzle making the football field wet and hard to keep your feet. Ole Miss made a 3-point FG as both teams' hardnose defense kept stopping the other. 10 - minutes left into the fourth quarter, Ole Miss punted to LSU with Billy Cannon receiving the punt on the first hop Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIHdlAg4Uic
