She was built like a beautiful brick house with curves in all the right places sitting down by me even though they had a lot of other empty stools at the counter of Canal Street, Woolworth, New Orleans, 1958.
She asked me to pass the salt and pepper for the sandwich she ordered, and I said. "I ordered a club sandwich, too." She said. "A hamburger." The attraction for each other was spontaneous.
To make a long story short, we stayed together for around three months until she decided to marry a rich man telling me goodbye. I understood because I was between jobs, and she was paying my way. I wasn't a Master Folding Carton Maching operator having enough money to have a nitch in life yet.
She broke my heart, leaving me back then.
