The hot topic in LSU recruiting news is that LSU now has 21 commitments counting Andy Dodd (OG/C, 6'4", 235, Lindale, GA) who LSU picked up yesterday.
And "LSU’s 2013 recruiting class is really filling up quickly and looking great. For those of you who care about national class rankings, LSU has moved up to No. 3 in Rivals and to No. 6 in Scout and 247."

Blank: What look?"

GoldRing: " That look."

Miami staff faces more allegations

By Heather Dinich | ESPN.com

It's deja vu for Miami coach Al Golden, who once again has been hit with allegations that the program has violated NCAA rules. For the second consecutive summer, the NCAA has been on campus, this time looking into new accusations.Read more...http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/63111/miami-staff-faces-more-allegations

It seem like the wheels of the federal government move very slowly. But once moving they eventually grind the guilty into nothing. In the NCAA case they seem to pick and choose who and how badly they use the grindstone. They act very political, serious, but not really?
The NCAA can get them on "repeat offender" status and slam the football program if they aren't careful.
ESPN doesn't want to jump to conclusion on a Miami story but they knew Paterno was guilty 2 hours after the story broke
god more penn state whining even after the facts are known geez tired of hearing paternos not guilty ,ncaa cant do anything,we wont get death penalty just shut up

Bullhockey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, let's see if I've got this right: Al Golden, who by all accounts has (prior to coming to UM last year) a clean coaching / recruiting record (as far as the NCAA's rules are concerned), gets literally blindsided by a years-long laundry list of alleged violations committed during his predecessor's watch (or, lack of a watch) . . . deals with player suspensions, reinstatements, potential recruiting de-commitments, as well as media / fan / alumni scrutiny; cooperates as best as can expected wit...more
Maybe he has plausible deniability......

I find it a bit ridiculous to think Al Golden needed a towel boy to recruit for him. This is getting assinine.
1 fan likes this.
The NCAA can actually get the Miami football program on "habitual offender" act. It looks like their goose could be cooked.
2 fans like this.
The "goose" of which you speak is only of the proverbial variety, as opposed to an inaccurate depiction of an ibis as a bird of another feather, correct? And what, then, would you say should be the NCAA's handling of the Penn State situation, if it happens that Miami's program gets leveled? Banishment of their university and its administration to the Moon? Unless the penalty for some players receiving a free meal or two (or a night on the town) trumps the aiding, abetting, and systematic cove...more

Blank: "It is truly revealing how the general public keep choosing the most recent winner. Like they can't help themselves?"

GoldRing: "They must know that last year football season is truly history."

Tinker Town: "Alabama looks like a good bet to me, after all they did beat this LSU football team, for all the marbles."
