BATON ROUGE – When Les Miles embarked on his first spring speaking tour in 2005 before he ever coached a game at LSU, he often brought up something he likes to do as a football coach.He said he liked to throw it deep. And LSU did that in his early years. The Tigers also threw it often. In his first season, LSU put it up 359 times -- 40 times more than the previous season -- usually with quarterback JaMarcus Russell and finished fourth in the Southeastern Conference and 55th nationally in passing with 223 yards a game.
