LSU Tigers defensive linemen ready to pull their weight

BATON ROUGE -- Before enrolling at LSU, defensive tackle Anthony Johnson carried the weight of heavy expectations as a five-star recruit, a bold nickname and a 300-pound body. Once he arrived, Johnson gained 20 pounds and didn't play up to the lofty expectations.
LSU defensive line coach Brick Haley said Johnson, who played at O. Perry Walker, learned valuable lessons that will help him down the road.
"I think he was finding himself his freshman year," Haley said. "He got enough football to get his feet wet, to make him understand the work he's got to put in to be that type of player." Read more...http://www.nola.com/

He presented a jersey to the President at the White House just months after being named the nation’s most outstanding interior lineman as winner of the Lombardi Award.
