Take good care of yourselves so the LSU tiger fans can keep living the good life.

Tinker Town: "May we keep tailgating all night long, calibrating the LSU fighting tiger football teams victory's.  Laissez les bons temps rouler " (Lazay-Lay Bon-Tom Roulay) To be clear, this expression is only used in Cajun French.
 "let the good times roll?"

Louisiana’s 2013 class took some early knocks, but it’s evolved to be better than many expected.“We shouldn’t have written their obit too quickly,” Rivals.com analyst Will Weathers said. “They are going to prove to be very formidable without the five-star headliner.
“This class is going to have pretty good depth at certain spots.”

The play of Green Oaks’ Tre’Davious White is one reason the class has grown to be better than projected.
“Tre’Davious White seemingly came out of nowhere to put his name up there with the top cornerbacks in the country and then you have Tim Williams and Kendell Beckwith who are both consensus Top 100 players,” said Brian Perroni, a 247sports.com recruiting analyst. “In addition there are some other big names like DeSean Smith, Standish Dobard, Josh Boutte and some others.”Read more....http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/20120823/SPORTS14/120823046/

NCAA Football Preview - L-S-U Tigers

The showdown of the year came on Nov. 5 when the top-ranked Tigers traveled to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 2 Alabama. In a defensive battle, LSU came out on top, 9-6 in overtime, which helped catapult it to the SEC Western Division crown. The Tigers made easy work of No. 12 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, 42-10, to finish the regular season a perfect 13-0.
Not surprisingly, the Tigers earned a spot in the BCS National Championship Game where they had a rematch with Alabama. Things turned out differently this time around, as the Crimson Tide rolled to a 21-0 victory, proving that the SEC is so tough that you don't necessarily need to win the conference to be the best team in the country.

Miles addresses media Friday afternoon

Coach says Ford and Ware practiced today; Loston could return tomorrow

By RICHARD FISCHER

LSU head coach Les Miles addressed the media Friday night following “a quality practice.”
First of all on the injury front, the coach said running backs Michael Ford and Spencer Ware took meaningful snaps today. Safety Craig Loston did not practice today, but Miles added he may get some snaps tomorrow.
Miles said the team is closing in on the North Texas gameplan.
“We’re into it a little bit. We’ll get a little bit more specific as we get closer,” he said.Read more...http://www.tigerrag.com/?p=216792
Finally, Tiger Stadium is receiving the finishing touches of its offseason makeover. The final step will be adding the letters ‘TIGER STADIUM’ to the outside of the West side upper deck. However, when Miles saw the progress earlier today, only the ‘T’ was up, and he joked that he was afraid that it may begin the word ‘TENNESSEE.’

“I’m told that what appears to be an unusual gold ‘T’ is for ‘TIGER STADIUM.’ Cause I want you to know when I saw that ‘T,’ I said, ‘That looks an awful lot like another school in our conference.’ I was giving a look to see if there was a rogue crane operator that was trying to start another long word that started with ‘T.’”
Now with the letters ‘T,’ ‘I’ and ‘E’ up as of the end of the work day Friday, the coach must be afraid that this “rogue crane operator” doesn’t put the letter “D” up. In the gap
Tomorrow the Tigers will be back to business with what Miles called a short go, mostly special teams situations.

Isiah Wiley loses scholarship

Updated: August 24, 2012, 11:53 PM ET

LOS ANGELES -- USC cornerback Isiah Wiley has been ruled academically ineligible for the 2012 season and has been taken off athletic scholarship, Trojans coach Lane Kiffin confirmed Friday.
Wiley, a senior, was a returning starter for the Trojans but had not practiced in fall camp because of questions about his academic status. Kiffin said that lessened the impact of his absence.
"The blow is not as big, I think, because of the way we went about it," Kiffin said. "We had kind of moved forward, as you can tell, by not having him here in camp."

Wiley started the final six games of the 2011 season for the Trojans and played a key role against Stanford and Oregon. He had 11 tackles against the Cardinal and a fumble recovery in the win over the Ducks.
A junior college transfer, Wiley originally signed with the Trojans as a 2011 early enrollee but had to delay his entrance to USC until that summer. But he quickly became a special-teams contributor and then seized the starting spot midway through the season when two other cornerbacks were injured.Read more...http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/story/_/id/8301353/usc-trojans-starting-cb-isiah-wiley-academically-ineligible
