Fighting with both hands - keeping the edge:

TigerGumbo: "Well, it does matter to me that LSU offense is very predictable to the other football team, and that the LSU opponents seem to gang up on the point of LSU's running attach. I would think that a more unpredictable offensive play would work better, and be a better game plan.
Les Miles has a small group of heavier fast horses carrying the football. Wearing the other team down by pounding the big horses into the other teams body's over and over again. Now that LSU offense has a better passing QB. I feel like Les Miles should incorporate some more very effective pass routs for the LSU WR, and RB, to put the opponents further back on their heels. That to me would be a more productive LSU offense. Especially against equal talent, fighting with both hands?"

GUILBEAU: SEC Behind the Scenes

Hogs should’ve listened to Nick; now they must play him

By GLENN GUILBEAU

There has been another motorcycle wreck in Arkansas, and the fallout is just beginning.
But first let us return to some famous last words before game day.
This week they come from the affable Wally Hall, an Arkansas writing legend from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock.
“Arkansas gets last appetizer before main dish,” said the headline over Hall’s column on Saturday.
Hall is not a restaurant reviewer. He is a very good sports columnist and wrote about how No. 8 Arkansas was going to serve up Louisiana-Monroe that afternoon.
Final Score: ULM 34, Arkansas 31 in overtime.
And today Hall may be saying, thank goodness for pay websites. For unless you want to pay, you cannot read what must have been some delectable, droll and choice commentary about how his beloved Hogs were going to feast on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. Read more...http://www.tigerrag.com/?p=219782

Collins, Dworaczyk discuss newly formed partnership

Versatile offensive lineman Josh Dworaczyk (68), seen here in 2010, has taken the place of injured left tackle Chris Faulk in the starting lineup (photo by Gail Chisum).

Certain things you just can’t script.
When young buck La’el Collins beat out sixth-year senior Josh Dworaczyk for the starting gig at left guard this Fall Camp, neither could’ve guessed they’d go from competitors to partners less than two weeks into the 2012 campaign.
But that’s exactly what’s happened following an untimely injury to mainstay Chris Faulk, a second-team All-SEC performer at left tackle in 2011, the Tuesday following LSU’s opener versus North Texas.
Now Dworaczyk, who started 26 straight games at left guard for the Tigers from 2009-10, is being asked to slide out to left tackle and play next to Collins.
Good thing for LSU that these two, born almost four years apart, share a wavelength on how to move the offensive line forward.
Even better that they seem to be embracing their newfound partnership. Reads more...http://www.tigerrag.com/?p=219772
