What foreign policy?

Tinker:

Have you ever seen a United States President try to hide behind the congress of the United States. This guy lives in his reflection mirror, with only his
self image pushing him from one political decision to another.

Obama is embarrassing. He now want the American people to bend over backwards and help him to get out of his foreign policy mistakes. Come on, I have never seen this before?

Book: Clinton's State told Benghazi was a 'terrorist attack' minutes after it began

By PAUL BEDARD | SEPTEMBER 3, 2013 AT 9:54 AM

Photo - Just minutes after 35 jihadists crashed through the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, nearly one year ago, the facility got word to the State Department, FBI and Pentagon that terrorists were attacking, according to a forthcoming book that provides the fullest review of the assault to date.

In “Under Fire, the Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi,” it is revealed that an unidentified security official in the Benghazi compound protecting Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens messaged the U.S. embassy in Tripoli: “Benghazi under fire, terrorist attack.” Stevens and three others died that night.

Twenty-five minutes after it began, the operation center at State received an electronic cable announcing the attack, according to authors Fred Burton, a former State Diplomatic Security agent and Samuel Katz, an author and expert on international special operations and counterterrorism.

Their findings in "Under Fire," based on exclusive interviews of those in the battle, refute days of claims by the administration that the attack was sparked by Muslim anger at a U.S.-made anti-Muslim film, and raise new questions as President Obama eyes military action in Syria that U.S. diplomatic posts in the region are properly protected.
The authors note that at the time of the attack in Benghazi there were riots against U.S. embassies in Cairo, Tunis and elsewhere related to the film, “Innocence of Muslims.” That could have been the cause of initial confusion about the attackers, but the eyewitness accounts by State and CIA agents in the battle — backed by live video feeds from drones — should have erased any doubt.

“Benghazi was a malignant symptom,” they wrote, “of a weakened and crippled al Qaeda seeking new battlefields.” They added that the September 11, 2012 attack, exactly 11 years after after al Qaeda’s assault on America, was “to be an opening salvo of a new jihad on the African continent.”
Also revealed for the first time: On her last day as secretary of State, Hillary Clinton summoned four of the five Diplomatic Security agents involved in the Benghazi attack to present them with State’s “Award for Heroism.”

Egyptian Newspaper’s Explosive Allegation: President Obama Is a Secret Muslim Brotherhood Member

Sep. 3, 2013 12:03pm

Al Jazeera’s blog posted a story Monday featuring tweets from the Director of Research at the Brookings Center in Doha, Qatar, who reported that an Egyptian newspaper’s front page story claimed President Barack Obama is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

If you missed it, “liberal” Egyptian newspaper has front page headline claiming Obama as full-on member of Muslim Brotherhood international.

“Newspaper also claims that son of MB leader threatened Obama w- release of ‘papers’ revealing his MB membership,” writes Shadi Hamid of Brookings.
One could hardly come up with a more explosive allegation about a U.S. president than secret membership in an Islamist group. And if that weren’t enough, the newspaper also claims that President Obama’s half-brother Malik is allegedly an Al Qaeda activist.

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report

Good morning, Tiger Fans, I hope you had a great Labor Day holiday. As you can imagine, the last couple of days have been really busy in terms of the amount of email I've received, and I want to thank you for sharing your first impressions of the 2013 Tiger team.

Two of the most common questions in the many messages I've received are: “How many true freshmen saw action in the game?” and “Can you explain what happened during that mass confusion at the end of the first half?” I'll answer both of those in just a bit, but first here are a few announcements:

• Congratulations are in order for LSU’s La’el Collins who was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week. Collins had a solid game Saturday at left tackle and played every down except the one he had to sit out after his helmet came off, and he did a great job of protecting Zach Mettenberger’s blind side. I suspect that many more accolades will be heading Collins’ way this season.

LesMiles.net released a new highlight video that features LSU “Players of the Week” on offense, defense and special teams. The players chosen for the video were Jarvis Landry (offense), Ego Ferguson (defense) and Colby Delahoussaye / James Wright (special teams).

• Because yesterday was Labor Day, the weekly “Lunch with Les” press luncheon that's usually held each Monday was moved to today at 12:10. The show can be heard in the Baton Rouge area on 104.5 FM and on affiliates of the network across the state and region. Those fans outside the 104.5 FM listening area, can catch free audio of the press conference each week in the Geaux Zone at www.LSUsports.net/live or in the LSUsports Mobile App, and members of the Geaux Zone can access a live video stream. I look forward to hearing the coach speak about last week's victory and about this week’s contest against UAB.

Now, as for how many LSU true freshmen saw action against TCU, the answer is eight. The eight are: Tre’Davious White, Duke Riley, Melvin Jones, DeSean Smith, Anthony Jennings, Christian LaCouture, Kendell Beckwith and Josh Boutte. Of the eight, the ones that I noticed on offense or defense (as opposed to only on special teams) were Beckwith who played some at defensive end, Smith who played some at tight end, Jennings who took one redzone snap for the quarterback sneak, and LaCouture who played some at defensive tackle in the second half. Other Tigers who made their first career appearance were Lorenzo Phillips (special teams), Colby Delahoussaye (special teams), Jerald Hawkins (RT), Hoko Fanaika (special teams line), Travin Dural (WR), Logan Stokes (special teams), Jonah Austin (tight end goalline), and Evan Washington (OT second half).

As for what happened during that mass confusion at the end of the first half, here's how I understand it. After the third down incompletion by Zach Mettenberger there were five seconds left on the clock, but an offensive lineman's helmet came off on the play (I haven’t gone back to see whose helmet it was) and LSU was out of time outs. Evidently, the rule states that if a player's helmet comes off inside of 90 seconds remaining and his team is out of timeouts, a 10 second runoff is applied. Therefore, the official signaled that the half was over and TCU made their way to the locker room. Then the Big 10 officiating crew got together and determined that the runoff rule did not apply because the clock had already stopped on the incomplete pass. So what did they do? They brought TCU back out for one more play and gave them a penalty for leaving the field early. LOL. What made this mess all the more interesting is that it came on the heels of LSU getting a delay of game penalty after calling their last time out.

In recruiting news, tomorrow Cameron Robinson (OL, 6'6", 315, West Monroe) will be announcing his decisions tomorrow on ESPNU. As of this time, I have not heard a time, but as soon as I do I'll pass it along. As most of you know, Robinson is widely regarded as the best offensive lineman in the nation and is ESPN's No. 1 overall prospect, and his leaders are said to be Alabama and LSU. I've been asked many times which school I think he’ll choose, and I really don’t know. Usually I have a pretty good feel once a prospect gets this close to his announcement date, but Robinson has played this really close to his vest. A lot of people assume that Alabama has it in the bag, but I saw something yesterday that gives me hope. During the LSU game, Robinson was tweeting a lot about the Tigers and someone sent him a message saying, “for a ‘bama lock’ guy you sure love them Tigers!” Robinson's reply was, “that's because I'm not anything close to a ‘Bama Lock.’

In closing, I’d like to point out that the LA High School football season gets officially started this week (see Week 1 schedule), and remind you to take part in our statewide pickem contest. It's simple and free to participate, and it's a great way to test (and showcase) your knowledge of LA high school football. Click here to sign-up/login, and start making your picks!
