My
father told me one Monday morning that Monday would be a bad day
even if I would stay home, and that I would still need to put up with
the bull talk and not get paid for it. So I may as well go to work and
get paid some money for my trouble. My father was a very extraordinary
man.
Working low paying jobs was a way of life for millions of
American people back in the day, so Government welfare was something
that most Americans had a very bad reaction to.Government welfare was considered a shameful thing. It was a taboo that mostly everyone back then was careful not to get. That we could always find work of some kind, even a low paying job was considered better than going on the U.S. Government welfare programs.
Apparently the people with the TV cameras and microphones are using their TV Network jobs as a way to be some kind of lord and master over the American people.

King James Version
And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
- Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
- Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
- Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
- Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
- Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
- Thou shalt not kill.
- Thou shalt not commit adultery.
- Thou shalt not steal.
- Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
- Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Romney thinks 47% consider themselves victims, I disagree
I believe Romney is a good man. Loves his family, cares about his faith.
But I also believe that when he said behind closed doors that 47% of
the country considered themselves victims who refuse personal
responsibility, think about who he was talking
about. Folks on Social Security who've worked all their lives. Veterans
who've sacrificed for this country. Students who are out there trying to
hopefully advance their own dreams, but also this country's dreams.
Soldiers who are overseas fighting for us
right now. People who are working hard every day, paying payroll tax,
gas taxes, but don't make enough income. I want to fight for them.
That's what I've been doing for the last four years. Because if they
succeed, the country succeeds. When my
grandfather fought in WWII, he came back and got a GI Bill and that
allowed him to go to college--that wasn't a handout. That was something
that advanced the entire country. I want to make sure that the next
generation has those same opportunities.
If all Americans get opportunity, we're all better off
Q: How do you view the mission of the federal government?OBAMA: The first role of the federal government is to keep the American people safe. That's its most basic function. And as commander-in-chief, that is something that I've worked on and thought about every single day that I've been in the Oval Office. But I also believe that the federal government has the capacity to help open up opportunity and create ladders of opportunity and to create frameworks where the American people can succeed. As Abraham Lincoln understood, there are also some things we do better together. So, in the middle of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said, let's help to finance the Transcontinental Railroad, let's start land grant colleges, because we want to give these gateways of opportunity for all Americans, because if all Americans are getting opportunity, we're all going to be better off. That doesn't restrict people's freedom. That enhances it.
What I've tried to do as president is to apply those same principles.
Letters from Americans: This is who we are fighting for
Every night, President Obama reads ten letters from everyday Americans.
When I met with the president at the end of each day, he made sure he
had their letters to read at his residence. Letters from people just
hoping for someone in power to
understand their struggles.I can't tell you how many times, whether we were discussing the economy, health care or energy crisis, the president walked to his desk, take out one of the letters and read them to us and say, "This is who we are fighting for.'' Parents working hard to save for their child's education. Middle-class Americans fighting tooth and nail to hold onto their jobs, their homes or their life savings. It is their voices that President Obama brings to the Oval Office. It is their values I saw him fight for everyday.
OpEd: Offered a third way; but hid left-of-center agenda
The campaign was heading to the wrong conclusion: Senator Barack Obama's
election to the presidency. It became increasingly obvious he was going
to win. He was a compelling figure, with an extraordinary gift for
public speaking.
His soaring rhetoric, almost poetic at times, but always seeming so calm
and reasonable, blurred the lines between right and left and spoke to a
nation weary of angry partisanship. He seemed to offer a third way and
hope to
Americans exhausted by 2 long wars and terrified by an economic crisis
that threatened their jobs and savings.Hidden beneath his centrist message, however, was a decidedly left-of-center policy agenda-- exactly what the country didn't need. His personality and language gave an impression of moderation, but his ideas and voting record revealed a dogmatic, big-government liberal.
Compact in past decades: do your job & make it in America
We continue to face an economic crisis that has left millions of our
neighbors jobless, and a political crisis that has made things worse.Millions of Americans have spent months looking for work. These men and women grew up with faith in an America where hard work and responsibility paid off. They believed in a country where everyone gets a fair shake and does their fair share--where if you stepped up, did your job, and were loyal to your company, that loyalty would be rewarded with a decen salary and good benefits; maybe a raise once in awhile. If you did the right thing, you could make it in America.
But for decades now, Americans have watched that compact erode. They have seen the deck too often stacked against them. And they know that Washington hasn't always put their interests first.
But we can help. We can make a difference. There are steps we can take right now to improve people's lives.

LSU underclassmen Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Ego Ferguson, Anthony Johnson and La'El Collins are all leaning toward declaring themselves eligible for the 2014 NFL Draft, according to a Yahoo Sports report.
Where wide receivers Landry and Beckham are concerned, that's nothing new. But it is the first indication that the NFL is more than just a serious consideration for defensive tackles Johnson and Ferguson, and Collins, a left tackle who might merit a first-round evaluation, according to NFL Media analyst Bucky Brooks.
Citing league sources, the report indicated Landry and Beckham
would merit first-round picks. Both had more than 1,000 receiving yards
in what was a resurgent season for the LSU offense and senior
quarterback Zach Mettenberger, an NFL prospect himself.
All five have met with potential agents.
Conspicuously absent from the report is running back Jeremy Hill, a third-year sophomore who is also considering early NFL draft entry. Hill, on probation with legal troubles, has met most of his probation terms and is among the most talented running backs in the nation.
If LSU were to lose five underclassmen, that would mark 15 exiting the Tigers program early over the last two years, a mass exodus by any standard.

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
Switching to football – Jarvis Landry shared some interesting
thoughts about his future Saturday morning in a brief interview session
held after practice, and here’s what I heard: Landry said that
while he has the potential to be a high draft pick, the temptation is
still there get his degree and challenge for a national championship.
Landry said he would put more thought into the process after the bowl
game. While I’m not holding my breath at the notion of Landry passing on
the NFL draft, it’s nice to know he is putting serious thought into his
decision. Obviously, if Landry returned for the Tigers it would be a
tremendous boost to an offense that’s going to lose its starting
quarterback.
While his torn ACL has forced him out of action against Iowa, Zach Mettenberger is taking on a coaching role with the team, mentoring Anthony Jennings before the Outback Bowl matchup. Mettenberger confirmed the ACL tear Saturday morning, and said that his biggest role with the team now is preparing Jennings for a hard-nosed Iowa defense. Though Mettenberger’s injury initially made him a “Debbie Downer,” he fully appreciates what Baton Rouge and LSU has done for him. Moving forward in the draft process, Mettenberger will participate in the combine interviews after he continues to rehab his injury.
Mettenberger and the Tigers will return to the field for a light practice today before taking a few days off for Christmas break. The team will depart from campus at 8 a.m. on the 26th to arrive in Tampa at 11:30 and practice at 3 p.m.
I regret to inform Tiger fans that Russell Shepard suffered an injury and will be placed on injured reserve by the Tampa Bay Bucs. Reportedly, Shepard suffered an injury to his foot after a handoff exchange on a kickoff went sour. Here’s wishing Sheppard a full and speedy recovery
