Tinker Town: "Why do we feel inclined to start
predicting the winners of the college football games that are about to
be played through out America on each and every weekend, like we somehow
posses a magic power that no one else has. A college football super
intelligence and insight. Are we the fans of college football really
that crazy?"

Dandy Don's LSU sports ReportGood morning, Tiger Fans,
Today's report is all about predictions. I'll start by giving you my predictions on what we'll see tomorrow night from LSU's football team as they take on Idaho, and then I'll give you my weekly college football predictions. After that I'll give you some info about our Louisiana High School Football Pickem, and talk about some key high school games being played this weekend that feature some of the state’s top prospects.
But first, I want to direct those of you who will be attending tomorrow's game in Tiger Stadium to these Times of Interest. I am looking forward to bringing my wife and three young daughters to the game. It'll be my 4-year-old daughter’s first trip to Tiger Stadium, and she’s really looking forward to it. Because she'll probably wear out quickly, we won’t be getting there as early as I would like, but I do hope to make it in time to see the Golden Band from Tigerland march down victory hill and into the stadium.

By RICHARD FISCHER
Tiger Rag Associate Editor
LSU’s conquest to conquer the northwest continues.
Last year the Tigers defeated eventual Pac-12 and Rose Bowl champs Oregon, 40-27, and last week LSU knocked off Washington, 41-3, in a much less competitive ball game.
This week Idaho rolls into town. If you put the three states together on the map, they make a big L, and after the Bayou Bengals are through with the Vandals Saturday night, that’s what they will have given all three northwest state universities in recent vintage. Read more...

While Arkansas coach John L. Smith says quarterback Tyler Wilson is a game-time decision for Saturday against No. 1-ranked Alabama, sources told ESPN.com he will not play.
"There will be no further update on Tyler Wilson's status today," Smith said in a statement Friday.

Wilson took a shot to the head and was knocked out of the game on Saturday in a 34-31 overtime loss to Louisiana-Monroe.
He'd been listed as questionable all week. But the decision was made that he wouldn't play after he underwent additional testing on Thursday, sources said.
