Who is the best football coach to study what we the college football fans want to really know about the real substance of what make a good college football team?"

College Football's Top 25 Head Coaches for 2012
Ranking the coaches in any college football conference is a difficult task. Many factors play into just how successful a coach is at any school. How well are the assistants paid? Are the facilities up to par with the rest of the conference? Can the coach recruit or is he more of an x's and o's manager? Are there off-the-field or age issues to take into consideration? Has a coach built a program or continued the success from a previous coach? How is the resume outside of their current position? These questions and more were posed to the editors at Athlon Sports, as they were asked to rank the coaches of each of the six BCS conferences. One thing to keep in mind - the record is not always indicative of where a coach should rank in a conference or nationally among the top 25.Ranking the Coaches: ACC

Tinker Town: "Who ever you think is the best college football coach to study about, what they know and try to teach us about the game of college football. It will not be the jive talking superficial bull talk coming from a rap song, but rather the real lesson for college football fans to read about. They the successful head college football coaches can help us to understand more about some of the tangibles abilities that make up a great college football team. When you hear a college football coach talk superficial nonsense, then you know that guy is not wanting to be honest, or they simply don't know themselves."

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
Good morning, Tiger Fans.
For the last few weeks I’ve posted a few stat comparisons between this year’s LSU team and last year’s, but today we’ll change it up a bit. While the previous comparisons were useful in identifying the weaknesses of this year’s team, such as red-zone offense, penalties, etc., I think it’s time now to turn our attention to comparing LSU’s stats with those of its tough upcoming opponents. With that in mind, today we'll compare a few key LSU and Florida stats.
First, it's worth noting that Florida has played a tougher schedule than LSU. The Gators are 4-0 (3-0 in SEC) with wins at home against Bowling Green (27-14), on the road against Texas A&M (20-17) and Tennessee (37-20), and at home against Kentucky (38-0). Also, since the Gators have only played four games (they had an open date last week), most of the stats below will be per game averages.

A few things that stand out to me: Like LSU, Florida is primarily a run-oriented team. In fact, their run-to-pass ratio favors the run even more heavily than LSU’s. Both teams have been heavily penalized and are averaging 8 penalties per game. Unlike LSU, Florida has not struggled with red-zone scores. Florida’s turnover margin is also considerably better. LSU's stats are better in many categories including points per game, total offense, opponents’ total offense, net yards rushing, and net yards passing, but it's difficult to draw conclusions from that based on the difference in opponents. The Tigers are also sacking their opponents more often than the Gators, and they’re allowing fewer sacks. The bottom line is that this should be a great competitive battle between two top-10 SEC rivals. Bring it on!
