Tinker Town: "Depression has seeped into the party that was Saturday night in Tiger
Stadium. The Louisiana LSU football fans are the best partying people
on the planet earth. Now they have been put on by a evil state of
deprecation that has devalued their fun party and is making them flee by
the thousands, slowly drifting for the exit - No soon as they sat down
they are seeing something that they don't like...Run tiger fans. Less Miles
has a equally depressing QB . Run for the french quarter and leave the
evil specter to the empty seats."
GoldRing: "When I can think of something

far - I will get back with you in a few minutes."....http://www. youtube.com/watch?v= J68XhyH97BA

Derick E. Hingle/US PresswireLSU's players couldn't get out of each other's way against Towson on Saturday.
Many in the smallest Tiger Stadium crowd in memory, wearing ponchos to fend off the doldrums of a rainy night, booed the offense during a particularly frustrating stretch of first-half offensive ineptness. It was bad weather, a small crowd and a bad performance.
"Really, it was everybody, it was like we didn't want to be here," said receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who actually was one of the few Tigers who had a big game, catching two touchdown passes in a 128-yard night. "It was raining, whatever the case may be. But we can't ever have that attitude."
Especially not with the stretch the Tigers are about to face. LSU finished a weak nonconference schedule Saturday, but heads into a stretch where it goes to Florida, hosts South Carolina, visits Texas A&M then hosts Alabama and Mississippi State.
There's a good chance that every team LSU plays in that stretch will be ranked when the Tigers come calling. Being good enough to beat a ranked FCS team on a rainy night isn't going to cut it against those teams.
"We're not going to win at The Swamp if we play like we did today," quarterback Zach Mettenberger said bluntly. Read more...http://espn.go.com/

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report
9/30/12 6:05 am CDT
Good morning, Tiger Fans.Well, LSU defeated Towson 38-22 last night, but for the second week in a row it didn’t feel much like a win. LSU’s first half performance was about as flat, undisciplined and uninspired as any I can remember, and the second half wasn't much better. This is soul-searching time for this LSU team and staff, and if they don’t get their act together very soon, October could be a very long month for the Tigers.
First things first, I want to commend Towson for playing their hearts out and making the game much more competitive that anyone expected.
I was hoping that LSU would have used last night as an opportunity to improve their passing game, makeup ground in the turnover margin, reduce penalties and gain confidence as they prepare for a tough contest at the Swamp next week, but they did none of those things. Instead, the Tigers allowed four sacks, turned the ball over three times, and were penalized 10 times for 80 yards. Not only were the existing problem areas magnified, a few new areas of concerned surfaced as LSU's normally dominating defense gave up 291 total yards, 187 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns to a 50-point underdog.
It was also very disturbing to see JC Copeland exit the field on crutches in the fourth quarter with his knee wrapped and iced. While it’s true that LSU is deep, all the injuries and attrition are really beginning to take a toll. LSU sure could use a playmaker like Tyran Mathieu, an offensive tackle like Chris Faulk, and an offensive leader like Alfred Blue.
There weren’t a lot of LSU highlights in the game, but a couple of Tigers who deserve recognition for their play are Odell Beckham, Jr. and Russell Shepard. Shepard scored a 78-yard touchdown run with 10:24 to go in the first quarter, but then, oddly, never carried the ball again. He also made a great catch late in the game. Beckham led all receivers with five catches for a career-best 128 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Mettenberger ended the night 15-of-26 for 238 yards, with two touchdowns and one fumble. Towson, a Football Championship Subdivision school, took a 9-7 lead over the No. 3 Tigers with 5:15 to play in the first half on a 1-yard touchdown run by tailback Terrance West. Quarterback Grant Enders set up the score with a 43-yard quarterback draw right through the heart of LSU’s defense to the Tigers’ 1-yard line. But it was another fumble by LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger that gave Towson the ball at the LSU 45-yard line. Read more...http://www.
