Sunday gospel

Today's gospel

When I start praying to god.  And that is just about all of the time, day or night. I go about praying in the quiet of my own home. Or, even sometimes driving my car, and every now and then shopping. I don't need to go to church to pray. I just seem to pray all of the time in my own mind, and emotions, just about anywhere.

My prayers to god is just about the same way that I talk to other people. I simply really start taking to the lord, about what is truly on my mind. I have even gotten mad at the lord as I pray. Talking to the lord can get very hard to do. Especially when we don't hear the lord talking back. So in essence, I am talking into thin air. Unable sometime to understand just what is all this mystery with the lord about?

I truly want the lord to walk up to us, shake our hands, and tell us the truth about where we live. About everything. The lord to me can get very frustrating. I keep wondering why all the mystery?
With out the lord blessing. Praying to yourself, is nothing more then talking to yourself. Then you can really see how people who don't go along with that kind of behavior would not want to pray at all.

When we pray in church we pray out loud with each other to god. We even sing some very nice songs to god. We listen to the priest that read the bible to us.  And because of that we pray out loud inside church some more.

So since we understanding about where we pray. It is important to also think about the sincerity of our prayer. Is our prayer nothing more than a person talking to themselves. Tricking their emotions into believing a theater tricks. Or is it a lot of posturing to show each other in church that we are righteous and proper citizens of the community. A mere shadow of hypocrisy and lies.

Just what is it to us to pray then. Is our prayer to the lord, a attempt to talk in a sincere way. And Is going to church a show of respect to the lord. And not a theatrical show for one another benefit. Are we being real with our prayers. Are we being honest with yourself and others?

Don't bother to pray to the lord if you are not honest. Unless of course it is a prayer asking the lord to help you be honest with yourself. Because if that is your prayer then it is well worth the effort. Because I can't think of nothing better for you. Then to become honest with yourself. So you can one day be honest with god.

At what point does the smiles and giggles fade into nothing, As we keep seeing and hearing the rich and powerful leaders keep pulling the wool over the worlds population of people eyes. At what moment does the bull talking politicians lose their luster to the TV cameras. As we keep seeing the entertainment industries keep selling the same worn out medley of lies, tears and fears . At what moment does the people simply get fed up with a society full of men hurting innocent people. Making our children's walk through life just that much harder, filled with lies and deceit?

Go to the father because our lord is willing and waiting to help us save our mortal souls. Pray in honesty, So we can become born again.

Tinker Town:

Did you see the Alabama interior lineman knocking the Notre Dame football players off the line of scrimmage like they were easy pickings. Alabama lineman were pushing Notre Dame lineman back over and over again. In Alabama lop sided victory over Notre Dame in the 2012 BCS Championship game.

The 2013 LSU fighting tigers football team can start singing good bye horses http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db4Nds4BOVo this coming college football season. Because Les Miles bull talk is falling onto deaf ears as America keep looking into the reality of NCAA college football for the years to come.

Nick Saban is recruiting better college football players then everyone else. So no matter what the talk is. Everyone can see the truth for themselves. Les Miles is having a good old time cashing the big LSU paychecks. As the LSU college football program keep riding further back in the pack of the SEC. I am not impresses with your coaching ability Mr. Les.

Dandy Don's LSU Sports Report

Good morning, Tiger Fans,

Five former LSU football players will be in action today at 2 p.m. CT in the Raycom All-Star Game. Russell Shepard (10), Josh Dworaczyk (66), Chancey Aghayere (90) and John Downs (92) will be on the Stars team, while Drew Alleman (87) will be kicking for the Stripes team. The contest will be televised by CBSSN (The CBS Sports Network), which is Channel 613 on DirecTV. As far as I know, CBSSN is not available on Cox Cable. Those with other cable providers looking for CBSSN can check out this online channel finder. http://www.cbssportsnetwork.com/channel-finder

In recruiting news, I think chances are pretty good that LSU will pick up it's 27th commitment this weekend from wide receiver Kevin Spears (6'3", 190, Holy Cross) who is in on an official visit. Someone close to Spears that I hear from told me that Coach Frank Wilson had an in-home visit with Spears and his mother earlier in the week and that both are very excited about this weekend's visit. For those of you who haven’t seen Spears in action, here's his highlight video. While he might not have elite track star top-end speed, he does seem to have a very good burst and great hands. I was also very impressed with his downfield blocking. At 6'3", Spears would be a welcome addition to the Tigers’ receiving corps, especially if things don’t work out with 6'4" JUCO recruit Quantavious Leslie. Last I heard, there are still high hopes for Leslie qualifying and joining the team in the summer.

Yesterday I mentioned that Rummel's Cethan Carter would be visiting LSU this weekend, but it turns out that he committed to Nebraska instead. With Desean Smith and Logan Stokes already in this year’s signing class, getting another tight end was a not a priority for LSU, although Carter is a good one. LSU had previously offered Carter a greyshirt.

In other recruiting news, Kendell Beckwith was named the 2012 Warrick Dunn Award winner and WAFB Sportsline Player of the Year, and I can think of no one more deserving of the honor. The awards’ previous winners include Landon Collins (2011) of Alabama, Blaine Gautier (2007) of UL-Lafayette and Terrence Magee (2010) of LSU. Beckwith played on both sides of the ball at East Feliciana as quarterback and linebacker, and will likely play defensive end at LSU. In an on-air interview conducted by WAFB’s Jacque Doucet, Beckwith said that Coach Miles mentioned the possibility of using him in a package as a wildcat quarterback, and that sounds like a great idea to me.

One more football tid-bit: LSU’s early enrollee recently known as Avery Johnson has changed his name to Avery Peterson, just like his brother (and former Tiger All-American) Patrick Peterson did before him. Based on tweets I've seen about this, Peterson is the last name of the man who married their mother while Patrick was in high school. I’ve noted the change on my depth chart, and soon I will be posting a complete 2013 roster. Read more...http://www.dandydon.com/

VIDEO: 6 minutes of college football's greatest plays

By Jerry Hinnen | Blogger
January 17, 2013 1:47 pm ET Very few of the moments and plays contained in this 6-minute, 26-second compilation of "Greatest College Football Moments and Plays" won't be immediately familiar to even the most casual college football fan, and it's fair to wonder why some iconic plays -- George Teague's strip of Lamar Thomas, "Punt Bama Punt," The Flea Kicker -- didn't make the cut.
But why quibble when those 6 minutes and 26 seconds are this close to YouTube highlight compilation perfection anyway? Watch, and enjoy:
