Tinker:
Replacing 11 junior full time starters on this year 2013 LSU football team is the first order of business for the LSU coaching staff. Billy Cannon said that the eleven juniors leaving for the NFL pro draft is a good sign. Because that meant that the LSU football team was full of NFL type talent.
Les Miles also second that intuition. Wow my opinion seems like a rather empty point of view then, against their college football knowledge. And how they are looking at these developments as a good sign for the LSU football program.
I felt like the junior playing experience was a obvious lost, that would be hard to replace. That all of their college football training through three years of playing for LSU, is going up in smoke. So what I think then is niether or neither regarding what will turnout to be the correct point of view.
What important in fact is how good are the 2013 LSU football players going to perform in tiger stadium. And are they capable of defeating college football team like Alabama.
That in fact this LSU coaching staff has recruited one of the all time best harvested high school football players ever. That also only adds to me thinking that Les Miles can indeed replace the missing junior talent, with some very talented replacements. So then in reality LSU 2013 football team can be a very hard football team to beat.
Can Cameron does feel like the right guy for head coach Les Miles LSU football coaching staff. If Zach get efficient, because of Cam. The 2013 fighting tiger will be hell to play in this coming college football season.

LSU releases details of Cameron’s contract
The school announced Wednesday that Cam Cameron will receive a three-year, $3.4 million salary package. He is set to make $600,000 in 2013, $1.3 million in 2014 and $1.5 million in 2015.
Based on reports of what offensive coordinators are making at other Southeastern Conference schools, Cameron would apparently become the highest-paid play caller in the SEC. Alabama’s Doug Nussmeier was the highest-paid in the conference last season among its 13 public schools (Vanderbilt does not have to release salary figures) at $590,000.
Cameron’s contract must still be approved by the LSU Board of Supervisors. It’s next meeting is set for March 18.
Cameron’s salary is a big jump over the one for former LSU offensive coordinator Greg Studrawa. The LSU board last June approved a three-year deal for Studrawa worth $500,000 per season.
With the Cameron hire, Studrawa is returning to strictly working with LSU’s offensive line. Quarterbacks coach Steve Kragthorpe is being reassigned to an administrative role.
It was not immediately known whether the Baltimore Ravens, who fired Cameron in December as their offensive coordinator, still owe him money for 2013, accounting for the large difference in Cameron’s salary from 2013 to 2014.
LSU senior associate athletic director Herb Vincent said any information on whether Cameron was still being paid by the Ravens would have to come from the club.
Messages left Wednesday for the Ravens’ team spokesman, Kevin Byrne, and for Cameron’s agent, Gary O’Hagan, were not immediately returned.
Cameron’s 2014 salary would put him on par with that of LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis.
Chavis is currently in the midst of a three-year deal that paid him $900,000 in 2012 and will pay him $1.1 million in 2013 and $1.3 million in 2014.
LSU announced its hiring of Cameron, 52, on Friday. The long-time NFL and college coach is close friends with LSU coach Les Miles, with whom Cameron shared an office when they were both assistants at Michigan.
Cameron is the fifth offensive coordinator during Miles’ nine-year tenure at LSU, following Jimbo Fisher (2005-06), Gary Crowton (2007-10), Kragthorpe and Studrawa.
Studrawa replaced Kragthorpe shortly before the 2011 season when Kragthorpe relinquished his play-calling duties after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

History Repeating
Last season, multiple Pac-12 teams had QB questions. That worked out for teams like Oregon. Will history repeat for this season's new signal callers? Ted Miller » North capsules » Pac-12 blog »Jesse Beals/ Icon SMI

Ex-LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu recently ran a hand-timed 4.47 forty-yard dash during his pre-Combine training.
NFL teams are beginning to sort through Mathieu's 2011 game tape, and there is a buzz about his big-play ability both on defense and special teams. It sounds like he's in shape after sitting out the 2012 football season and training hard with Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson, Mathieu's college teammate. "Patrick goes at him hard; he'll push him on the ground or whatever he's got to do to get Tyrann prepared," said Peterson Sr. "He's looking like Tyrann. He's staying away from the off-field stuff and he's focused. He looks like he means business, very locked in. He knows he can't get another strike."

Latest Recruiting News
Schedule for this week (defense next week):
Monday: Tight Ends
Tuesday: Running Backs
Wednesday: Wide Receivers
Thursday: Quarterbacks
Friday: Offensive Line
In many ways, the 2013 recruiting cycle was glorious for LSU, starting with the quarterbacks. Reaching into California and Georgia to snag Hayden Rettig and Anthony Jennings was quite the feat. Yet, the Tigers would like to add another talented signal caller next year, and the word out of Baton Rouge is that it will likely be of the dual-threat variety.
With Cam Cameron taking over as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he'll take a lead role in the decision-making process regarding which quarterbacks to pursue. And while it's not a huge need for LSU in this class, a team can never have too many capable quarterbacks.
Brandon Harris, 6-3, 185, Parkway, Uncommitted
Brandon Harris
USA TODAYRecruitment: Things are really just getting started for Harris. He has verbal offers from McNeese State and Louisiana Tech, but LSU, Nebraska and Baylor, among others, are currently evaluating him and could eventually offer. Things are likely to pick up for Harris as more coaches view his film. If LSU were to offer, it would likely jump to the front of the pack for his services.
Quentin Gibson, 6-3, 190, Shaw, Uncommitted
Quentin Gibson
Twitter
Analysis: Gibson has been very productive over the past couple of seasons for Shaw. While he may not dazzle with his tools, he is solid in most all aspects that make a good quarterback. He is accurate, remains poised in the pocket and has pretty good arm strength.
Recruitment: Gibson is still waiting for his first offer, which will come in time. It would take a stellar performance at LSU's camp this summer for him to receive an offer from the Tigers. Other schools, however, should be offering soon.
Donovan Isom, 6-4, 230, Destrehan, Uncommitted
Donovan Isom
Brett Duke, NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune
Analysis: It is apparent that Isom has put in a substantial amount of work on improving his game. With that said, he still has a ways to go before becoming a big-time quarterback prospect. He possesses a lot of natural ability, and if he continues to improve at the same rate he has over the past year, he should wind up with offers from several programs. He moves well in the pocket and is a load to take down when he runs.
Recruitment: At this point in the process, Isom is hearing from quite a few programs, but still has yet to receive an offer. He attended LSU's 'Boys from the Boot', an unofficial Junior Day of sorts, where he was joined by many of Louisiana's premier prospects. He'll have an opportunity to impress Cameron at camp this summer. An LSU offer will be an uphill battle — one certainly worth watching.
Chase Litton, 6-6, 200, Wharton (Tampa, Fla.), Uncommitted
Chase Litton
Analysis: Litton has many of tools that schools look for in a quarterback: height, arm strength, accuracy and experience. What he doesn't have are the offers to match. He is on the thin side and definitely needs to add some weight in order to withstand the punishment he'll receive at the next level.
Recruitment: Former LSU quarterback coach Steve Kragthorpe offered Litton last year, prior to Cameron's arrival. But now that the Tigers are looking for a dual-threat it is unlikely that Litton will get much attention from the new regime. Currently, his only other offer is South Florida.
