The America Network TV News Show 2013

Tinker:

Owners of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, FOX TV networks must really be plugged into the Washington DC corrupt way of government on this day today 6/25/ 2013 America.

The fourth estate ( News Media ) once helped the American people to watch over the checks and balances of our American republic. But now the News Media has indeed vanish into the big money deals powering the corruption system of running Washington DC America.

The once proud and productive American News Media naturally confronted the politicians running Washington DC. Now all TV Network  shows are plugged into the same American government propaganda controlling the American people.

What news media, all I see is the Washington DC public relation service working hand and hand plugged into the same corrupt systems running Washington DC all day and Night long.

David Gregory to Journo Who Broke NSA Spying: ‘Why Shouldn’t You…Be Charged With a Crime?’

Jun. 23, 2013 2:59pm

NBC “Meet the Press” host David Gregory provoked a furious response from fellow journalist Glenn Greenwald after he asked whether he should be charged with a crime for having “aided and abetted” admitted National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden.

“To the extent that you have aided and abetted Snowden, even in his current movements, why shouldn’t you, Mr. Greenwald, be charged with a crime?” Gregory asked Sunday.

The Guardian columnist, who broke the story of the federal government’s secret monitoring programs, replied that it was “pretty extraordinary that anybody who would call themselves a journalist would publicly muse about whether or not other journalists should be charged with felonies.”

“The assumption in your question, David, is completely without evidence, the idea that I have aided and abetted him in anyway,” Greenwald said. “The scandal that arose in Washington before our stories began was about the fact that the Obama administration is trying to criminalize investigative journalism by going through the emails and phone records of AP reporters, accusing a Fox News journalist of the theory you just embraced, being a co-conspirator in felonies for working with sources.”

He continued, “if you want to embrace that theory it means that every investigative journalist in the United States who works with their sources who receives classified information is a criminal, and it’s precisely those theories and precisely that climate that has become so menacing in the United States.”

Gregory responded that “the question of who’s a journalist may be up for debate, in regards to what you’re doing” and said he was simply asking a question.

The exchange prompted a raging debate online, including from Greenwald, who took to Twitter afterward to hit back at Gregory some more.

“Who needs the government to try to criminalize journalism when you have David Gregory to do it?” he tweeted.

Gregory addressed the tweet later in the show, calling it a “problem from somebody who claims that he’s a journalist who would object to a journalist raising questions, which is not actually embracing any particular point of view.”

Greenwald later tweeted, “Has David Gregory ever publicly wondered if powerful DC officials should be prosecuted for things like illegal spying & lying to Congress?”

It was just six months ago that Gregory himself was at the center of a discussion about whether he broke the law, after he brandished what he said was a high-capacity ammunition magazine, a violation of Washington, D.C. law. The D.C. attorney general opted not to pursue charges.

‘You Suck!’: Nancy Pelosi Booed, Heckled by Liberal Activists Over Snowden Comments

Jun. 22, 2013 11:19pm
Liberal activists booed and heckled House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi after she stated Saturday that former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden broke the law by leaking details of classified surveillance programs.

It all happened at the annual Netroots Nation conference in San Jose, which gives “progressive voices…an online and in-person campus for exchanging ideas and learning how to be more effective in using technology to influence the public debate” its site says.
The Huffington Post describes the scene:

As she spoke about the need to “balance” privacy and security, a man stood and yelled, “it’s not a balance, it makes us less safe.” The man continued to decry “secret courts,” and staffers began to escort him from the room.

Pelosi said it was fine for him to stay, but the man was eventually ejected. On the way out, some members of the audience began to shout at the staffers to “leave him alone.”

The conversation then shifted to Snowden, who on Friday was charged with espionage over his leaking of classified documents to media outlets.

Pelosi said that Snowden “did violate the law in terms of releasing those documents,” a remark that elicited boos and yells throughout the ballroom. One man screamed, “You suck!”
Others yelled “Secrets and lies!” and “No secret courts!” and “Protect the First Amendment!” according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Below is the full video of Pelosi’s remarks. She runs into resistance around the 47-minute mark, but things get hairy at about 50:45 after she calls Snowden a lawbreaker:
And here is a shorter clip of the most contentious section:

Sarah Palin Rips Marco Rubio on Amnesty Reversal: ‘Politicians Wonder Why We Can’t Trust Them?’

Jun. 23, 2013 10:31pm
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has called out Sen. Marco Rubio via Twitter over his amnesty position for illegal immigrants, saying his actions are an example of why people can’t trust politicians: “Campaign flip-flops like this and carve-out bribes in the Amnesty…”

Palin’s tweet links to a story from TownHall.com on Rubio’ flip-flop over amnesty for illegal immigrants. Twitchy notes the following portion:

During a debate with opponents Rep. Kendrick Meek and Gov. Charlie Crist, candidate Rubio argued that giving illegal immigrants an “earned path to citizenship,” which Crist, Sen. John McCain and former President George W. Bush had advocated, is basically amnesty.

Rubio, who won that 2010 election, is now the leading Republican in the U.S. Congress pushing for illegal aliens to be given the earned path to citizenship that he himself insisted was “code for amnesty” only three years ago.

Yahoo! News Says Obama Was Born in…Kenya!

Jun. 22, 2013 12:34pm

Yahoo! News had to issue a correction Friday after publishing an article about President Barack Obama that called Kenya “the country of his birth.”
The article, about Obama’s upcoming trip to Africa, stated:

President Barack Obama makes the first extended trip to Africa of his presidency next week — but he won’t be stopping at the country of his birth.

The story was revised to say Obama “won’t be stopping in his ancestral homeland” and a correction was posted stating, “An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified the president’s birthplace.”

The so-called “birther” movement has repeatedly cast doubt on whether the president was born in the United States, despite confirmation from officials and the release of Obama’s birth certificate stating he was born in Hawaii.

Neuroscientist Sees 'Proof of Heaven' in Week-Long Coma
Oct. 24, 2012

It's dinnertime at the Alexander home, in Lynchburg, Va.

Holley Alexander is serving chicken curry, 14-year-old Bond is hungry after soccer and the dad, Dr. Eben Alexander, leads the family in prayer.

In this home, saying grace is different these days. This family has been touched by a medical miracle -- and maybe more.

"It was impossible after impossible after impossible that all these things happened," Alexander said in an interview with "Nightline" co-anchor Terry Moran.

Alexander, a Harvard neurosurgeon, nearly died four years ago when a ferocious E. coli meningitis infection attacked his brain and plunged him deep into a week-long coma. Brain scans showed his entire cortex -- the parts of the brain that give us consciousness, thought, memory and understanding -- was not functioning. Doctors gave him little chance to live and told his family that if he did survive he'd probably be brain-damaged for the rest of his life.

"Nurses would come in, and they would pull his eyelids back, shine in the flashlight, and his eyes were just off and cocked," Holley Andersen said. "It's just like no one was there."

Against all odds, Alexander woke up a week after being stricken. But he believes Holley was right: He wasn't there.

Deep in coma, his brain infected so badly only the most primitive parts were working, Alexander claimed he experienced something extraordinary: a journey to Heaven.

"In every sense, of the word that's what my experience showed me," Alexander said.

"My first memories from when I was deep inside: I had no language, all my earthly memories were gone," he said. "I had no body awareness at all. I was just a speck of awareness in kind of a dark, murky environment, in roots or vessels or something. And I seemed to be there for a very long time -- I would say years.

"I was rescued by this beautiful, spinning, white light that had a melody, an incredibly beautiful melody with it that opened up into a bright valley," he added, "an extremely verdant valley with blossoming flowers and a just incredible, rich, ultra-real world of indescribable complexity."

Alexander said there was a young woman who soared across time and space with him on a butterfly wing and gave him a message to take back from Heaven.

"She looked at me, and this was with no words, but the concepts came straight into mind: You are love; you are cherished; there's nothing you have to fear; there's nothing you can do wrong," he said.

God was there as a vast presence of love, Alexander said, and Alexander understood God through an orb of brilliant light.

"It was all of eternity and all of conscious existence," he said. "But it was this brilliant orb of light that was almost as necessary as a translator to bring in that message from the divine and the incredible."

After he recovered, Alexander, who was adopted, was shown a picture by his biological family of a sister he had never met or seen before. He recognized the sister as the young woman from Heaven.

"I looked up at that picture on my dresser that I had just got and I knew who my guardian angel was on the butterfly wing," he said. "It is the most profound experience I've ever had in this life."

Of course, many would call Alexander's experience a hallucination -- but not him.

"I know this is not a hallucination, not a dream, not what we call a confabulation," Alexander said. "I know that it really occurred, and it occurred outside of my brain."
