Forget about loving God and country lets just follower this bunch of hoodlums

Tinker:

If president Barack Obama is giving executive orders telling the federal government employees to spy on co-workers, to prevent more Wikileaks-type secret leaks.

Then it is not so unreasonable to think that Barack Obama did tell the IRS employees to get tough with reviewing the Tea Party groups applying for tax-exempt nonprofit status.

Is this what the American news media means by reporting to the American people that the American political system is broken?

That Barack Obama is such a cheap common petty politician as our 44th and current American president. That he keeps letting the insider way of pulling the leavers of power in Washington DC secrets out of the bag?

Is this a helluva bucket of fish in Washington DC or what? I don't want people like that around me anymore you can have them ladies and gentlemen, because they are simply too obvious to me.

After reading about the first four years of President Barack Obama Washington DC White House staff way of doing government business.  President Barack Obama and his Washington DC White House cabinet staff seems more like a lovely bunch of repulsive hoodlums, then anything else.

House Republicans Pressure Eric Holder On Military's Decision Not To Try Fort Hood Shooter As Terrorist

House Republicans Eric Holder

By Jim Forsyth

SAN ANTONIO, March 18 (Reuters) - Three Republican members of Congress have asked Attorney General Eric Holder if the Justice Department pressured the military to charge the suspect in the 2009 Fort Hood massacre as a criminal instead of as a foreign terrorist.

Texas Republicans Michael McCaul and John Carter and Virginia Republican Frank Wolf sent a letter to Holder on Friday, saying they were concerned about intelligence failures leading up to the massacre "as well as the Obama Administration's response to the attack -- particularly the misguided decision not to charge Maj. Nidal Hasan as a terrorist for his brutal, al-Qaeda-inspired assault on Fort Hood."

A Justice Department spokesman declined on Monday to comment.

The members of Congress asked for names of any staffers responsible for creating or reviewing communications or policy statements after the attack.

Hasan, the Army psychiatrist accused of being the lone gunman in the Nov. 5, 2009 massacre, was charged as a criminal defendant in a military court in March 2010. Thirteen were killed and 31 were wounded in the massacre, the worst shooting ever at a U.S. military facility.

Dozens of relatives of those killed, as well as some of the wounded, have filed administrative claims against the Army, seeking more than $750 million in total damages. They charged that the Army knew about his beliefs yet did nothing to stop him.

The lawmakers, in the letter, asked if the Justice Department or the Pentagon sought guidance from the White House in making the decision not to classify Hasan as a terrorist, and to classify the attack, which left 13 dead and dozens wounded at the U.S. Army post in Texas, as an act of "workplace violence" instead of terrorism.

The letter also quoted Army Secretary John McHugh on the ABC news program Nightline saying that those wounded in the shooting would not receive the Purple Heart medal, which is awarded to U.S. soldiers who suffer wounds "in the face of the enemy," because Hasan was not considered a "foreign terrorist."

Obama executive order requires federal government employees to learn to spy on co-workers, to prevent more WikiLeaks-type disclosures

  • Reporter's question about the secret program has Obama press secretary Jay Carney 'stumped' during White House briefing
  • Program directs employees to report on co-workers' habits, travel, financial difficulties and unusual work hours
  • October 2011 executive order from the president created a task force led by James Clapper and Eric Holder, which set guidelines for federal agencies
  • A new poll found that a majority of Americans see Edwards Snowden as a 'whistle-blower,' not a 'traitor'

The familiar command 'If you see something, say something' has been moved into the federal government's workplaces, according to a new report.

The government's Insider Threat Program, a comprehensive initiative that stretches across 5 million security-cleared employees of all federal agencies and their contractors, was brought to life following an executive order from President Obama in 2011. He issued the directive after Army Private Bradley Manning sent untold numbers of classified documents to the anti-secrecy WikiLeaks website.

The initiative asks federal government employees to spy on their co-workers, reporting to program agents on their unusual behaviors, strange attitudes, financial troubles and unprecedented travel - all indicators that a 'high-risk' person might be engaged in espionage or other leaking of secret materials in a way that might cause 'harm to the United States.'

Cantor to GOP: ‘Seize the Moment’ and Delay the Individual Mandate

By  Robert Costa

Right now, the House GOP is huddling in the Capitol basement, going over their immigration strategy. But before the meeting began, House majority leader Eric Cantor brought up another topic: Obamacare.

According to sources in the room, Cantor urged his colleagues to use the White House’s delay of the employer mandate as a political battering ram against the administration’s prized law.

“Seize the moment,” Cantor told them. The delay, he predicted, could “destabalize the coalition for Obamacare.”

He then called on the House to pass a one-year delay of the individual mandate to go along with an employer-mandate delay.

“After both bills pass we combine them into one bill to send to the Senate,” he said. “On the delay of the employer mandate, we will make the point that the president doesn’t have the authority to just ignore the law. It will also force Democrats into the position of supporting or opposing the president.”

New Snowden allegations rile Latin America

President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil

By JIM WYSS | The Miami Herald

BOGOTA — Allegations that the United States has been actively spying on friends and foes in Latin America threatened to open new diplomatic fronts for the Obama administration as it scrambles to detain the source of the sensitive information: NSA leaker Edward Snowden.

On Tuesday, Brazil's O Globo newspaper, citing National Security Agency documents, said the United States had been monitoring Internet and telephone communications in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina and Ecuador, among other countries.

The newspaper said U.S. intelligence gathering went beyond national security issues to include economic espionage - collecting information on the petroleum industry in Venezuela and the energy sector in Mexico.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff called an emergency meeting and has asked the United Nations to investigate the claims. One of her Cabinet members suggested the revelations might jeopardize Rousseff's state visit to the U.S. in October. ‘You’re a Person of Color’: MSNBC Panel’s Debate with GOP Rep. Takes Odd Turn

Jul. 10, 2013 5:05pm

Congressman Raúl Labrador Takes on MSNBC Panel, Fights Them on GOPs Approach to Immigration Reform Congressman Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho) (screen grab)

Congressman Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) took on MSNBC’s Alex Wagner and her entire panel of guests Wednesday over the GOP’s approach to immigration reform and minority outreach.

“You’re a person of color,” Wagner reminded Labrador in an odd comment while discussing the House GOP’s opposition to the Senate’s immigration reform bill.

“Your mother was a single mother. You came to this country from Puerto Rico. Are you satisfied that the outreach and the messaging that your party has gotten to single women, working women, single mothers, to people of color?” she asked.

The congressman replied by calling Wagner’s characterization of the GOP’s stance on immigration reform a “little off,” noting that that Rep. Steve Pierce (R-NM) agrees with him and is regularly reelected by his overwhelmingly Hispanic district.

“What he does is he reaches out to the Hispanic community,” Rep. Labrador said. “He doesn’t pander to the Hispanic community.”

“Pandering to the Hispanic community like The New Republic and MSNBC wants us to do, that is actually a recipe for disaster,” he added.

Wagner didn’t like the word “pandering” and shot back: “I would beg to differ on that last point.

“If you’re pandering, it’s going to be the side that panders the most that’s going to get the result,” the Idaho congressman continued. “We’re never going to out-pander the Democratic Party.”

Wagner jumped in to accuse Rep. Labrador and the Republican Party of obstructing good faith attempts to naturalize illegal immigrants.

“You’re saying that they only way the Republican Party can win is by accepting an immigration reform bill that is not fully completed,” Rep. Labrador responded, adding that he is all for providing legal immigrants with all the benefits afforded U.S. citizens.

“It’s a wonder” then, Wagner scoffed, that President Barack Obama managed to win two thirds of the Hispanic vote in 2012.

Top 20 best helmets in college football  (Posted on 7/10/13 at 11:24 pm)

SIAP. Not sure if this belongs on the rant, OT, or if anyone gives a shite .

Yardbarker.com - Top 20 best helmets in college football

quote:

9. LSU

LSU's helmet history is actually a bit comical. There have been four revisions over the years and all of them clash a stark yellow and purple. But somehow, it works. In fact, the collision of the two colors is a bit royal, like that guy who wears the odd wardrobe just because he can.

But in addition to the colors, the school's abbreviation and a fierce tiger are placed prominently on the helmet, giving this lid all-around appeal. We'd wear this in Death Valley any Saturday in the fall.

2013 Dynasty in NCAA 14  (Posted on 7/10/13 at 11:35 pm)

Just finished the SEC Championship in my LSU Dynasty and thought I would post how the season has played out, it is very familiar.

Leading Rusher: Blue 1016 yds. 18 TD's

Passer: Mett 2411 yds. 21 TD's

Receivers : Landry-830 yds. , Leslie-715 yds. , Beckham Jr.-488 yds, Desean Smith- 345 yds.

I went 11-1 (lost at Georgia, but beat #1 Bama in a #1 vs. #4 game. After beating Bama I moved up to #2 and they dropped to #4) I just played the SEC championship in which I beat Georgia 31-10. Now I am ranked #1 and getting ready to play the BCS National Championship and you'll never guess who is sitting at #2.

#1 LSU vs. #2 Alabama

Even in video games.......

Dandy Don's LSU Sports ReportYesterday it was announced that Zach Mettenberger, Craig Loston and Jarvis Landry were chosen to join Coach Miles in representing LSU at SEC Media Days. I was really happy to see Loston get the nod to represent the defense since his senior leadership will be key this year. Until now, I haven’t written a whole lot about Loston, but I’m really expecting big things from him.

Loston came to LSU out of Eisenhower High School in Houston and was the nation’s top-ranked safety prospect. After seeing the field in two games on special teams as a true freshman, Loston injured his wrist, was out for the season, and was granted a medical redshirt. In the three years since that time, he’s had his share of minor injuries which have held him back a bit, but now the hard-hitting speedster is heading into his fifth season in the John Chavis system in great shape, and his senior leadership will be much appreciated in LSU’s relatively young defensive backfield. Last year Loston started in 12 games and ended the season ranked fifth on the team in tackles with 55 and second in interceptions with three. I’m sure most all of you will remember one of those three picks - the one in the fourth quarter against Mississippi State that he returned the length of the field to put the game away. I re-watched a video of that play yesterday and was so amazed at Loston's explosiveness and speed that I took out my iPhone and timed how long it took for him to bring it to the house. According to my far-from-official timing, he covered the 100-yards in 10.9 seconds, and that's incredible considering he was in full pads and pulled up a bit at the end. I've added the video to our Media Gallery so you can relive the moment too.

In recruiting news, Coach Miles and his staff are gearing up for an important week ahead as their big high school camp gets underway Sunday and runs through Wednesday. I'm looking forward to making it out there Monday morning to check out many of LSU’s elite targets and give you a report on what I see. I fully expect LSU to pick up two or three commitments during the camp or shortly thereafter.

Speaking of camps, I want to let you know that the 6th annual Pro Football Combine Camp will be held in Thibodaux on Friday, July 19 at Nicholls State. A lot of pros, former pros and ex-LSU players will be teaching at the camp, such as Jarvis Green, Skylar Green, Howard Green, Travis Daniels, Al Woods, Richard Dickson, Mark Roman, Trev Faulk, and Kevin Faulk. These guys, along with high school coaches and Nichols coaches, will be doing position training, and Velocity Sports out of New Orleans will be doing combine testing. The camp costs $70 to attend and is open to all 8th-12th graders. All seniors who attend the camp are eligible to win a college scholarship. Last year they awarded five $1,000 scholarships and they hope to grow that number this year. For more information, visit www.profootballcombinecamp.com.

Today we'll continue our jersey countdown with No. 51, and what a great number that has been for the Tigers! Three LSU All-Americans wore the number, so instead of focusing on just one I'll briefly touch on each of the three.

Ken Kavanaugh was a three-year letter-winner at LSU from 1937-39 who earned All-America and SEC MVP recognition as an end in 1939. After his days at LSU, Kavanaugh had an extraordinary NFL playing career with the Chicago Bears, although it was temporarily interrupted by World War II where he was a heroic bomber pilot in the European theater.

Max Fugler played center at LSU from 1957-59 and was part of the legendary 1958 championship team. Originally from Ferriday, LA, Fugler made All-SEC and All-American in 1958 and is best remembered for his remarkable goal-line stance in LSU's 14-0 win over Ole Miss on November 1, 1958, which earned him national lineman of the week recognition.

Albert Richardson was an incredible linebacker at LSU from 1979-82 who still holds LSU records for most tackles in a game (21) and in a career (952). And for 21 years, he also held LSU's record for tackles in a single-season (150, 1981). In 1982, Richardson made named to All-SEC and All-America teams. As stated in LSU's Media Guide, Richardson’s genes fitted him for a role in football as his father was a Baton Rouge High School assistant coach.

Couple of tidbits in closing about LSU football tickets: 1) I will be updating our Ticket Exchange page today, so if you have tickets for sell, please let me know; 2) Individual game tickets for UAB, Kent State, Furnam and Arkansas, along with a few package deals, are currently available at LSUTix.net.

In baseball news, LSU signee Nick Longhi of Venice, Florida has decided to join the Red Sox. This was a bit of a surprise because most felt like he would opt for LSU after being picked in the 30th round by Boston. Longhi can really swing the bat and would have been a contender to start at first base for the Tigers
